Here's the thing I bought a saliva ovulation kit..to see when I ovulate, I was excited because the first month I used it , it showed the ferning pattern indicating that i was ovulating. So this month I did the same and nothing happened no ferning nothing. Do some woman alternate ovaries every month and perhaps ovulates one month and not the other. any advise helps ladies ..Does anybody know??

I am not sure, unless one of your ovaries is "sleeping." I notice that my left ovary is always the one that fires more strongly, gives a more normal luteal phase, and got me my DD and this new critter. I used the ferning microscope along with CM, temping, and tracking my particular allergy/asthma symptoms (would flare up bigtime right before O). The ferning was pretty accurate, whereas OPK didn't even work the cycle I got DD.

Ferning has always been very accurate for me as well. OPK/fertility monitors don't work for me at all.

Even if you only had one working ovary it would take over and release an egg every time.
