Default ovulation question

Hello all , im going to run my stats real quick just so you can be caught up .

dx in 99
ttc 5 years
clomid 3x
provera 1x
dx with clymidia in 99 carried for 3-5 months
ok b4 my doctor gave me the provera my cycle wasnt normal , 6 months out of 12 i would have a cycle since the provera i have had a cycle every month for the past year . now my question is when i have a cycle i ovulate right? and in order to have a cycle a egg has to be released right? so if i am ovulating every month and there is an egg being released how come im not getting pregnant?
could it just be my eggs?

please any information you have that may help me let me know.

Hi there,

You can be having your period without ovulating. Do you know how to take your temperature to see if you are ovulating? There are also other signs, like a build up of cervical mucous mid cycle and twinges around the ovaries at that time.

Hi again,

It's been a while since I did the temperature thing so I'll just see how much I remember. They'd be plenty of other people around here who'd be using it. You take your temperature every morning before you get out of bed and write it on a chart or graph. When you ovulate, the temperature changes (goes up I think). The people on the 'trying to conceive' list would be able to tell you more. With the mucous, you get a lot of mucous discharge around the time you ovulate. It's like egg white. You'd know about it if you were getting it

Default Temperature

To take your BBT (basal body temp) you need to take it every morning before you get out of bed. Then record it on a graph (you can do this free online at www.fertilityfriend.com) You need to use a Basal Body Thermometer, which can be purchased at your local drug store (RiteAid, Walgreens, Sav-on, etc.). The Basal Body Thermometer's are relativly unexpensive, and are much more accurate than a regular one.
If you ovulate, your temperture will rise following the ovulation (due to the increase in progesterone) and stay high until AF comes again. If your temp. doesn't rise, then you didn't O.

Hope this helps. You can email me with any other questions at happyjenn22@hotmail.com
