During a woman's monthly cycle, exactly when is ovulation supposed to occur? Beginning, middle, end???? When? Thanks.

If I remember right from my physiology class, ovulation usually occurs 12 to 16 days before the menstrual period begins. Therefore, ovulation would occur on approximately day 10 of a 24-day menstrual cycle, day 14 of a 28-day cycle, or day 21 of a 35-day cycle. Day 1 is the first day that you bleed. Of course, with PCOS ovulation and menstrual flow are so erractic that it can be difficult to time ovulation.
