| Registered User Join Date: Apr 2008 Location: Western Australia ![]() | Hey Girls I'm 22 From Perth hehe. I only just got diagnosed today after a 3 month wait to see my gyno, what a joke!!! Anyway Currently TTC #1. I went to the gyno, and all he said was 'your uterus is small but that wont affect your fertility, and that my right ovary has very minor cysts, but my left looks ok. He said things were not too much to worry about but he cant officially diagnose me with PCOS until all my bloodwork returns and i go back in 6 weeks to figure out what we going to do! Basically I get a period pretty regular every month, i dont have excess hair but i got bad mood swings lol! Oh and i get minor back ache (but they may be due to car accident last august) and a little cramping every now and then. The other thing is my testosterone looks normal apparantly, but i still have to wait for other blood work. I started charting ovulation the last coupla months, last month i THINK i ovulated on DAY21 because i used ClearBlue Fertility monitor and got the little egg symbol for 2 days, then this cycle got it on DAY16 i dont think i made it this month though, after going to gyno today and having a camera shoved up me, he didnt see anything i am currently about 3 DPO so will have to wait and see! My cycle is roughly 30 days, but it was 32 after i miscarried last November then returned to normal after about 5 months i been pregnant twice in 11 months, 1 chemical and 1 miscarriage. So needless to say i cried today, i mean i really cried it broke my heart to know that this was not going to be easy, but i puckered up and figure 'hey it will happen give it time girl!' anyway i think i need a little encouragement right now, my head is saying keep going, but my heart is saying 'why go through all this, all these appointments if your only going to be dissapointed.anyway just venting and hoping to meet sum cool girls sharing the same problem! When I was 19 there was a small cyst on my ovary, my dr told me not to worry and it wasnt PCOS. SO!! I continued on with irregular AF and didnt think much of it until we decided to start ttc. I went to my GP who booked me into the Gyno after a negative blood pregnancy test (we thought we may have been lucky!!!). Also waited 3 months to see gyno who shrugged me off and told me to wait 12 months as my AF MAY return, i was really upset that he didnt take me seriously, my fiance works away and couldnt be at the appointment. He sent me for some tests which i think he only did becuase I wasnt leaving without some answers from this "supposably" specialist. He told me there and then i had PCOS, with no testing or examination. I spoke to my fiance and we decided to talk with my GP as there was more of an understanding of my history. We were given Metformin for me to take (2000mg) which we started on May 1, 08. No AF yet, but I have been using the maybebaby ovulation microscope which has been confusing as i got full ferning (predicted ovulation) on 5th and 6th of May, we got all excited. THEN, yesterday afternoon we got more ferning. So now we're really confused! The test did say that if we were pregnant the ferning would constantly appear, but i just have no idea what to do. I did a pregnancy test that was negative but it would be far to early to test anyway. Thanks for listening to my story!! If anyone has had issues with the Maybebaby ovulator or this same issue can u shed some light on what to expect? Amy xx |
