I posted the info from vitaline plus other PCOS diets recently on the diet and exercise forum. I'm not sure I agree with all the theories on Vitaline but I know some people who have had success with it where other diets have failed.

Here's the info and a link to their site

Vitaline has a website totally devoted to PCOS and weight loss.

You can find it here:

Here is some of the information you can find on the home page:

About our PCOS diets

Your Metabolic Rate

If you have experienced problems losing weight in the past, have tried every type of diet without much success, it could be that your metabolic rate is very slow. You need to find the correct diet and the foods which will speed up your metabolism, stop you feeling hungry, and you are then on the way to becoming a successful slimmer. Vitaline has been established since 1976 and has perfected the Metabolic Rate Burns Technique to can help you.

Each person's metabolism can be different. If you have a weight problem, your metabolic rate can be slower than the metabolism of a slim person. How many times have we all envied those slim people who can eat everything and not gain weight, whilst you look at food and the pounds pile on? It doesn't seem fair does it?

Since 1976 experience has shown that people are overweight not because they overeat, THEY JUST EAT THE WRONG FOODS. In fact, some overweight people do not eat enough food to keep their metabolic rate working and this could be one of the reasons for their slower weight losses. I will help you to lose weight by confirming the correct foods that can speed up your metabolism so that you finally lose your unwanted pounds successfully and without gimmicks.

Is Your Metabolic Rate Slow?

Your metabolic rate could be slow for a variety of reasons. It could be you have had surgery. The anaesthetic can, in certain slimmers, slow up your metabolism. Childbirth, traumas, bereavements, medication, and stress can all contribute to a slower metabolism. Keeping to the same diet for too long can also slow up your weight loss, as does a sedentary lifestyle.

What you need in order to succeed is a metabolic rate assessment, a diet planning to suit your metabolic rate, and most importantly - every time you lose three pounds or more, you need your diet changing so that you do not get bored, and your metabolism keeps working. I will provide you with the diet you need.

How The Burns Technique Works

My technique is totally different from any diet that you have ever tried in the past. It works on a principle of speeding up your metabolic rate. You will feel healthier, fitter, more confident and will not suffer the misery that being overweight can cause.

After asking you to complete a confidential questionnaire, I will provide a diet that you will enjoy and it will not be difficult to keep to. It will be set out in an easy to understand formula, no calorie counting or weighing or measuring out foods. The diets will contain everyday foods, will be very enjoyable, and the plan is very easy to follow because it is worked out for each slimmer's individual metabolic rate.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
here is some of the information they are providing on how to lose weight with PCOS

First thing each morning, drink a mug of hot water poured over a very thin slice of lemon and left to cool

Eat small and often: eating six small meals a day is much better than three larger ones, so split your meals into two parts with an hour in between each part

As an alternative to ordinary bread try yeast-free bread e.g. soda bread or yeast-free crispbreads, for example Ryvita

Cut right down on processed foods, or those containing artificial colourings and preservatives

Eat organic wherever possible – or at least wash fruit and vegetables thoroughly, ideally in a weak vinegar solution and rinse

Avoid food in plastic containers and never microwave in plastic dishes

Eat a balanced diet rich in vitamins (especially vitamin B)

The following hints and tips will help you lose weight whilst simply carrying out your everyday chores and jobs.

Avoid exercise which involves the use of weights or restrictions. Try "fat burning" and cardio-vascular exercises.. Walking, swimming, dancing is all good exercise. A chart is provided when you enrol.

If going anywhere by bus, why not get off the bus one stop earlier, and walk briskly.

When walking, stand tall, avoid slouching. When carrying anything, balance the weight in each hand, i.e., shopping.

Walk upstairs instead of using lifts. Try to get out for a walk at lunchtime, especially if you have a 'sitting down' job.

Gentle exercise is better after a meal; you will burn up the fat cells and speed up your metabolic rate. Exercise will NOT LOSE WEIGHT, but it will tone-up, you will also speed up your metabolic rate, and you will not go flabby.

Alcohol - if you have a weight problem, try drinking a glass of red wine. Red wine contains bioflavonoids that are good for the heart.

When eating meals, eat a small amount of protein food first. For example a small amount of your chicken before the vegetables will help your diet. The protein foods can fire up the metabolism.

Eat cucumber each day. It is a natural diuretic and stops fluid building up in the body. This is important if your work involves a lot of sitting.

If eating out, really study the menu and you will find there is always a less fattening option.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
cost?

£49.95 for the first month and £25.00 each month thereafter.

Thanks for sharing.

It can be hard in the beginning on the plan, as I was carbohydrate sensitive and would crave bread and sugar, which most of us do anyway.

Within a week it did reduce though, it is a great plan and I have lost weight and concieved on it too.
