Did you weigh on the same one that you did orginally?
Don't give up!! We are here for support.
(Note to anyone who reads this and wonders what is going on -- Somehow this thread and mine got stuck together. I can't get them seperated. LOL Off to ask Kat. )

Points: 484.31 Bank: 0.00 Total Points: 484.31 | I finally bit the bullet and started taking my metformin again (for the first real time since I stopped taking it when I fractured my ankle in july, and had surgery ect. ect.) and I feel like CRAP.
My stomach hurts and all the fun fun that comes with met is back. I know it should pay off in the long run (such as hopefully loosing the weight that came back, reg af again, you know the ushe') but right now its sucking out loud.
I have debate prep tomorrow for an assignment, and is going to be no fun at all- I used to like public speaking, but now its something akin to well, public speaking horribleness. I'm fretting and getting all anxious about the debate on friday, and reciving back a horrible lab assignment on tuesday and its just making me feel worse.
I think too much and my stomach hurts.
BLAHHHHHH.
I do want to say something positive though: I love the fact that you guys understand.

I only check once a day.

My Mood: Points: 1,497.31 Bank: 0.00 Total Points: 1,497.31 | Ah, okay this is only a little rant, but I am frustrated!
I just got back from a doctors appointment and I have to go out of town to see a specialist. At my last appointment, they gave us the stuff to do a 24 hr urine test to test for Cushing's Disease. Well, if any of you have ever done that, you KNOW it's a pretty miserable test. We took it to our local hospital for them to mail it off or whatever they do with it. Today at the doctor, my endocrinologist seemed uneasy about the test and wants me to do it again.
I'm not mad at my doctor for making me do it again because of course I want to know if I have Cushing's Disease. I'm just mad at the hospital for not doing it right! How hard is it to just KEEP SOMETHING REFRIDGERATED! So this time when I do the test we're going to have to drive it all the way to my other hospital (a little over 3 hours away) so THEY can do it right!

>:[ | What do you mean? You can't do the test at the hospital. Did you take the pills you have to take? You have to take a pill. Also did you refridgerate it the entire time?? If you didn't that could have messed the test up. I had to do the same thing right before being told i had pcos. They wanted me to do that first. it's a 24 hour urine test though. then you take a pill in the morning. like at the end of the 24 hours then you go to the hospital were you got the test from or a local lab and get your blood drawn. that's how they test this. it's the combination of your pee and blood . it's hard to explain but that's how they do it. is this how you did it? My doctor said there is no other way to accurately test for this disease. so maybe your doctor did something wrong or there was miscommunication between you and them. let me know.

My Mood: Points: 1,497.31 Bank: 0.00 Total Points: 1,497.31 | I didn't take a pill for it. There's another cortisol test where you take a pill at night to supress cortisol production and then draw blood in the morning. There wasn't any pill for this test because urine gives a more accurate cortisol level than blood.
The last time I took the test, we just took the urine to our local hospital, and they sent it off to a lab. We aren't sure whether they kept it refridgerated or not. They didn't even mail the results to my other doctor!
I did the test yesterday and my dad flew it up to the other hospital today so they could directly get the results. I'll let you know when I get it back (the results... not the urine..) |
