Having missed the Equinox, I'm starting to think about Samhuinn (ahead of myself, here!)
This past year has been a very bad one for us and so am looking forward to starting a new one!
How do you other pagan cysters prepare for Samhuinn, and what do you do for it? I know we're just over a month away, but I want to make it a good one, this year! It should be particularly powerful as I'm about to complete my ovate work and pass on to the final grade of my studies with the Order of Bards, Ovates and Druids. ( You can find our website here:
www.druidry.org ) The ovate year (usually it takes longer than a year) is a very dark and difficult time for many people who pass through it - so I am planning on coinciding moving onwards and upwards, with this time of year. So it's going to be an extra special Samhuinn for me.
Just wondering what the rest of you do, and why it's an important time of year for you? (If it is!)
