Somewhere that we can get together and talk. I am still learning but I know that this is the only faith that is right for me. I have posted a couple of threads before and received wondeful replies. The whole process of researching has been a lengthy process for me but very fun and enjoyable. There is a vast amount of info out there. Anyone care to join???

Points: 5,069.00 Bank: 0.00 Total Points: 5,069.00 | I am going through my research phase right now and I have actually been going through this phase for a couple of years. I read alot and looked up stuff on the net but there were a couple of times that I got really overwhelmed and I had to just stop for a while! When I stopped I tok some time and just walked around outside alot and checked out nature. I am going to start reading Living Wicca by Scott Cunningham. Anybody read this book yet? I have read a lot of Silver Ravenwolf but I found some of her stuff to be geared more towards young adults. Any other experiences??

I would recommend anything by Scott Cunningham, Raven Grimassi, The Complete Book of Shadows for the Solitary Witch by Silver RavenWolf.... although her other books are admittedly a bit fluffy.
here is my favorite forum and it will probably have a lot of answers for you.

With that book, I kinda take my time cause it just seems like there is SO much information. It's so overwhelming at times. But I just take it a little at a time!
I will try that forum. Thanks!

I've been a practicing Pagan for about 10 years now. I've read things and still read things. I've researched various topics and aspects and I'm still learning. It's not all reading and research though... It's action.
Taking a walk in nature
Lighting a candle for meditation, prayer
Doing more complex things as you are comfortable.
The thing is to practice what sounds right for you and your situation.
Working with others when you are ready either as two individuals or in a circle/coven
Can't think of much else to add at the moment.
Cunningham is a good author to read. He has several books on various topics.
Blessings!
D.

I think that I got burned out a couple of times cause I was reading, reading, reading, and didn't even think about actually meditating or starting to put anything into action. I was so afraid that I was going to do it wrong. But then the more that I got into the reading...I learned that alot of it was individualized. That really helped me to understand the basics of the religion. I really like the idea of making it your own. I joined in on the wiccaforums.com and I already really like the idea of it!

Practicising druid Ovate here from the UK. For many years, I was a straightforward hedge witch before finding druidry and knowing, when I found it, I was home.
Most of my pagan friends are practising wiccans of one persuasion or another. I'll be joining them in their circle at Lughnasadh, as well as meeting up with fellow druids.
I think taking it that step further from reading about, to actively doing, is a really vital thing, whether you work solitary or in a circle with others. Looking forward to getting to know my fellow pagan cysters - of whatever path - here!
Love, Polly

I have been reading about different Pagan paths since I was aobut 13/14 and then when I was about 18 I was a practicing Wiccan for a couple years, now I am back to the learning stage ... I know the Lady and Lord are always with me.
As soon as I started reading about the multi-strains of the Pagan faiths, I knew I was home in loving peaceful arms. I did a bit of back slide asI went into a deep depression, but with Their help and a re-newed Faith in myself. I am slowing coming out of it.
I love the faiths as they are all individual to each persons own beliefs. I am extremely eclectic, however I seem to be drawn to more of the Greco-Roman//Celtic systems.
I am glad this thread has started! Nice to meet you all!
Blessed Be!
