then i managed to predict the birth of my daughter when i was 15 (thats when i did the reading) and i even got the timing spot on.
i wouldn't say i do it professionally, but i do offer more or less free readings on my forum for those that want one. i don't think i could find it in me to charge someone, although some people have been known to try and pressure me into it.
i'm actually writing a book on how to read the tarot with your instinct and it focuses on building confidence. when i was mentoring a tarot course thats what i found most peoples draw back was - confidence.
i'm only just starting on the runes. i know quite a few people who read them and have had a reading done before. i have a friend who is helping me learn with them.
my coelbreni, i'm still making a mat to read them! but that gives me the time to really do more research, which i love! i have to admit, the coelbreni are what i most want to lean about because of the welsh connection. i feel a connection to them hence all the research!
does anyone else use psychometry? |

Have you seen Cilla Conway's Intuitive Tarot? http://www.aeclectic.net/tarot/cards/intuitive-conway/
She's a lovely lady and that deck may well be useful to explore, for your book as she takes a very instinctive approach.
Another lovely lady self-published a deck a few years back now that is very instinctive and might be worth you tracking down for the deck nook alone is Arnell Ando's Transformational Tarot: http://www.aeclectic.net/tarot/cards...l/review.shtml
Another deck that is not at all traditional tarot - more oracle deck - is Poppy Palin's Wild Spirit: http://www.aeclectic.net/tarot/cards.../details.shtml
Can't believe in my faves I forgot to mention the Carr-Gomms and Will Worthington's Druidcraft Tarot. http://www.aeclectic.net/tarot/cards/druidcraft/
I'd love to learn psychometry - not something I've been able to develop! I do pick up strong images in certain places, but don't sense anything from objects sadly! Love to hear people's experiences of psychometry (and divination).

I'm off to the woods to find my Jul log, and get some holly soon. Feeling like a little ritual on the day. What's everyone got planned?

My Mood: Points: 1,555.05 Bank: 3,713.44 Total Points: 5,268.49 | i'm not going to get to go to the river this year (the thames - basically one of my favourite spots to do my rituals) because my husband is working in the afternoon and my daughter has her hospital eye appointment to hopefully get her glasses. but on the saturday (22nd) we are having our Yule meal, which is looking like it will become a bit of a tradition for us. we had a great one last year when we invited my in laws round for the meal and we mulled our own wine and we all had a really great time.
this year when my husband goes to work (he works from about 3pm to 11ish) me and the kids are going to do some fun stuff, including some stories about Yule.
We made our advent calendar this year too. we made lots of handprints and i decorated them with glitter glue and put them up in the shape of a tree (a kind of xmas tree shape). and everyday we take one of the numbered ones down. we used my handprint for Yule and my husbands for xmas day.
with my husband being an athiest, we tend to focus more on Yule now. although my daughter is not only showing a big interest in paganism, but has quite a talent for cleansing too!

My Mood: Points: 23,475.51 Bank: 319.91 Total Points: 23,795.42 | Aw Becca that's great! I live right by the river Ouse here in Yorkshire - walk there a lot but have only used it for very specific spells, on occasion. Thames is very special - I've seen some of the things in the British Museum people have found on the foreshore - gold and sword bits and all sorts! Rivers were so important to the ancestors, eh?
I do xmas for the kids, so they don't feel freaky at school with their mates but obviously the older ones know the significance of Jul and that it carries a lot more weight in our house - if not outside! They enjoy doing both.
Becca, and fellow pagans... have you ever used Elfin Diaries? http://www.elfindiaries.co.uk/
They're a great Jul pressie for self or pagan friends/family - not as fluffy as Llewellyn and done here in the UK so they have the information right for us! Highly recommend. DH buys me one every year.

I am used to working with a lot of energy, but lately everything is sooo much more charged than usual! I have been putting out lights and making fans turn on when I come in the room. Anyone else experiencing this more than usual???? |

My Mood: Points: 1,555.05 Bank: 3,713.44 Total Points: 5,268.49 | i can't really say about main lights cos our wiring in this flat is rubbish! but we have a touch lamp that we use on the lowest setting as a nightlight for my daughter (she sees spirits like i do and in a dark room, it really scares her) and it keeps going up a setting. but i don't know if thats from the kids breaking it or not.
i have been seeing more spirits lately though. but not fully manifested, which is what i usually see. i'm seeing alot of light anomalies. i know its not my eyes because i had an eye test a few months ago. sometimes its coloured orbs, but what i see the most is what i call colour shifting. so its like...ermmm how to describe it....a thin pillar of light that leaves a trail when it moves. the spirits like the presents under the tree too cos they kept moving them!
they left the bedroom for a while (they move around alot at night) but the last week or two they have been coming back with a vengeance. which isn't particularly pleasant as i'm not a fan of the dark and one of my biggest fears is mirrors at night, and i have two on my wardrobe in the bedroom!
maybe its something to do with the solstice?

My Mood: Points: 23,475.51 Bank: 319.91 Total Points: 23,795.42 | Ah this is interesting. I know what you mean about being 'charged' - I started noticing it when I was in my early 20s, watches just constantly broke on me. One night, my watch and a solid silver ring I'd worn with no problems since I was about 15, both broke inexplicably and a few hours later, one of my friends died in a car crash. And he'd been at our house when my jewellery started breaking - I was the last person to speak to him, alive. I stopped wearing watches then, and ever since - that was 20-odd years ago. I've also worn a diamond solitaire most of my life. It was very good quality - big diamond in 22 carat gold setting, an eye of Horus, my grandmas' engagement ring. A jeweller once told me it was one of the most interesting settings he'd ever seen. When my dad was dying, last year, that ring broke a week before he finally went. Clocks also go haywire if they're in the room where I sleep so we tend to not have one upstairs, anymore. Once, when I was a teenager the clock in my room and a downstairs one both stopped in the middle of the night - at the same time.
I have seen manifestations but nothing for years. So has my husband, and he doesn't even want to believe in it - yet he once saw a faceless woman. Scared the bejaybuz out of him. In this house, we've both smelt tobacco smoke although no-one smokes and never have, in the house. I recently read that's a classic sign of something trying to manifest. I can pick up very tangible things - images, etc, that we usually go home and check out afterwards. My autistic son has the same ability. I'd like to learn about psychic development but can;t find where to start.
