im a newbie and the dr. put me on necon Birth Control but even though i'm not having a period or anything i'm still really cramping a lot. I'm in A Lot of pain I was constantly bleeding so they decided for me to skip the placbo pills and just take them always so i no longer have a period untill i want to try and have kids. Does anybody have any suggestions on what to do about the cramps they are really bad!

First off welcome...

Secondly I am not sure about the course of action they have decided to take. That sounds a bit unorthodox. Or maybe I just don't understand what you mean.

Typically when you start off with taking the bcp and you've had painful periods over time the pain does decrease and they are easier to manage. WAY easier. Give it like 3 months.

In the mean time heating pads, hot baths, massages, meditation have all helped me. I take herbs as well as have a glass of red wine everyday during my period.

Welcome to Soul Cysters. The BCP might help out with the painful cramping. I was told that it mgiht even bring your period back on! good luck and hope you find out all the info you need answered here on SC.

welcome to sc can you ask your dr for some pain meds for your periods?? i used to have terrible periods (but now i have a mirena). A hot water bottle is always great.Hope you feel better soon.
