Default Pain after Laproscopy

This is my first entry and just need some advice.

My husband had a testicular torsion which resulted in removal of his testicle in March. His sperm count initially was 150,000, but luckily, he was retested in July and it has increased to 5million with 80% motility. Because of his infertility issues with low sperm count, I decided to get myself assessed and was found to have PCOS (dx by pelvic u/s) and endometriosis (dx and tx by a lap). The lap was done on August 7 and I have been on Metformin 2000 for 2 months.

I have started charting my temperatures and used OPK this month. According to the OPK I ovulated. I had pain on my left side, so I thought I possibly could have ovulated from the L ovary. That was last week. Now this week I have been having constant pelvic pain on both sides.

Is this an early sign of pregnancy? Has anyone else had luck getting pregnant with a husband with a low sperm count and how low? The next step would be clomid; however, because clomid causes decrease in cervical mucous, the Dr. said we would have to go to IUI.

Please help.

I also mentioned to say if not pregnancy, is this still pain from the laproscopy, I did have a normal period after the laproscopy as scheduled and was not having pelvic pain again until after I ovulated.

Hi,

I've never been pregnant so I don't know what that feels like, but I do hear your best time to get pregnant is right after your lap, so there is a good chance

I had a lap done in July and I would get weird "pains" every once in a while for about 6 weeks after surgery. It was not like constant pain though, just every once in a while like something moved funny inside (getting all re-adjusted in there maybe? ha!).

I would keep track of how many days you have pelvic pain. If it goes on too long or worsens, I would think a call to the dr would be in order.

Sorry I'm not much help, but I hope you feel better soon.

Hey..I just came across your post & I had a lap last week. Until the lap & hyst I had Unexplained IF. During lap & hyst, RE found & removed Stage I endo & a cyst on my right ovary. What Stage of endo did you have at lap? I have been wondering if AF will arrive as normal. I had surgery on CD 17 and today is CD 26. My cycles are unsually around 30days so I guess we will see. Just curious if you have POAS yet?

Good Luck! I hope you get your BFP soon!!

Pain with ovulation is normal with endo. That is when my pain is the worst for some reason. I think it is because your hormones are at the highest at that time which is what stimulates the growth of endo.

Don't lose hope in trying to conceive. I was told when I was first diagnosed 15 years ago, that I would not have children. (Can you imagine telling a 20 year old that??! I was devastated) Since then I have had 2 beautiful children. Keep trying! One of the first symptoms I have had for each pregnancy is that your boobs start to hurt bigtime! If that starts to happen and it doesn't subside in a week, get tested.

Best wishes!
