I woke up this morning with a very sharp pain in my stomach. It's on the right side up high, above my belly button. If I move suddenly if feels like a knife is stabbing through me. My first instinct was a gas bubble or something, but it's been like this since 3:00 a.m., and I've had diareah since. It's not nearly as bad as it was, but it still hurts like hell. I looked up apendacitis on the internet, but I don't think that's what it is b/c it says you will also have fever and vomiting. Any ideas?

Sounds like a gall bladder attack to me. With appendicitis, the pain is in the lower right side. Your gall bladder would be about where you are discribing. Hope you feel better soon.

Always Patty to the rescue!! I had thought about that, but didn't really know anything about how it feels. I've never had any problems with my gall bladder. Since going to the bathroom a few hours ago the pain has slowly died out. It's not gone, but much better.
Thanks Patty!

You're welcome hon. Anytime. But if the pain consists or gets worse you really need to go see a doctor about it.
