Default pain getting worse

Welp, just wrote a whole post and it didn't go through.
Long story short, pain is getting worse in my ovary. I thought that my last lap would take care if it, but since last Dec, when I went to AZ jumped on a trampoline which is the most and best ecercise I've gotten in a long time, and called my obgyn, he says to me, "you probably jarred some scar tissue in time it will get better"- it hasn't. I have told him about this lately, had an ulstrasound a few months ago-all good, and he hands me over the bc pill.
Could this be scar tissue hitting a nerve? My head is running away with me because the pain is getting worse. I just broke down in tears bercause I am at a loss as what to do now.
I am taking Motrin, Cal Mag, and started the EPO tonght. I started AF today. This pain has gotten worse. I have endometriosis along with PCOS. I feel like this is no big deal, so tell myself to be strong and deal, but it is becoming a big deal, because the pain is getting intolerable. I had more but this is the jist of it. Have an appt with an endo, but need help finding out why the pain. I had one week of freedom, now it is worse than evr.
ANy help would be very much appreciated, sick of crying. Taking hot baths, not helping much.

Thanks,
Kris

wanted to add, which is what I started to write before my psot didn't go
through was, that my abdomen is really bloated and hard, now my head is thinking that the endo is in my abdomen. I am so upset ladies I do not know what to do about this. I thought the ovarian drilling and last lap would help all this, it did for a while, it allowed me toget AF every month so far, and up until last Nov., I had no pain. I don't know what to do.

Can scar tissue get "jarred"? And can an ovary actually be dead? This is getting unbearale.

Gosh, I know how you feel. I'm sorry you are having to tolerate the pain :o( I have endo too, and I'm constantly bloated and in pain all around, generally. I can't answer your question specifically, but it makes sense to me. Hot baths don't work at all either for me, it just distracts me from the pain for a few minutes. Pain killers don't touch it either.

I've heard of an ovary being "dead", if it's covered in scar tissue and completly eaten by endo. Does you doc know the extent of the endo? I know you had ovarian drilling done, but maybe he missed seeing where other endo is located if he didn't get a good look around at the entire area. I thought endo in the abdomen (upper) was pretty rare, but there are the few cases and maybe you are one of those cases. Also, did he remove all of the endo he saw?

Perhaps you can take another course of action to shrink the endo, like the homrone therapy treatments....It's sad there isn't a real cure for this. There's only a few options.

I'm sorry I'm not much help - I hope I helped in some way! Good Luck and I hope you feel better :o)

Hi Kris,

I am sorry you are suffering.

Things that the doctors fail to tell us(or warn) is that any type of surgery that opens your abdomin runs the high risk of adhesions.

They are also caused by the Endo(you prob already knew that part)
So if you were not fully healed(months for some post LAP) you very well could have injured your surgery site. Endo is a tricky disease. It can live nice and quite in 90% of the women who have it. But for the other 10% of us, it causes horrible disabling symptoms.

If your hormones have changed(including insulin resistance) that could explain your increase of pain.

The thing that really bothers me is that they gave you BCP while you have endometreosis. The estrogen can feed the Endo. So if you are in a flair,(AF includded) any hormone change(BCP includded) can make the pain worse.

AS for your ovary shutting down, yes, that too can happen. That can also be a cause of any hormone changes. You may have adhesions on the ovary they worked on.
But the Endo and adhesions(go hand in hand) are more likely the problem.

I would suggest you try pelvic floor physical therapy. They can stretch those adhesions to lesson the pain. It helped with me.

Endo is like a scab. It gets injured(ex: cyst burts) Then it grows a protective scab. That scab is made of adhesions(scar tissue) Then as that injury is effected by the hormones, it will bleed, rescab and it repeats over and over again.

I still have adhesions and I had them removed during my surgeries 3 years ago. But the adhesions can grow back.

Stress can also affect your muscles and they can make it all feel worse.

Please also read up on Andneomyosis.(I just did a big post on all this-search my resent posts) It is typical for Endo victims to also be affected with Andneo. It directly effects the uteris(Reason for more severe pain)

Let me know if I can offer anymore information.

Patty

I know this is going to sound crazy....however I know from personal experience that it is very possible. If you have endo your ovary could be adhered to your bowels.

Also if you have IBS like most endo patients do that could be why you are hurting. I've had two endo specialist tell me that IBS can cause the bowels to become inflamed and rub against the ovary and that can cause pain. In my case it hurts terribly.

I know a few really great resources for endo if you are interested. Let me know and I will get them to you.

Take care and I hope you feel better soon.

Thank you ladies for the replies. You all helped a lot. Feeling better tonight. I noticed that I may have been sticking the tampon in a little to deep. Never ocurred to me, but that didn't help, so I'm sticking to pads this AF. Yeah, my doc knew the extent of the endo when he went in last year. I had it on top of my uterus, my bowel, and behind the uterus - in the cul-de-sac (between uterus and bowel) He cauterized it all, and some massive amounts of scar tissue and adhesions that were blocking my tubes, and attaching themself to my abdomen. I remember asking him if he looked around in my abdomen, and he said as much as he could without doing a laparotomy. This endo can go to the lungs-now that is scary! I'm sure hoping he removed all the endo he saw, cuz I sure couldn't see it, but now wish I could have, this guy moves fast.
Patty, thanks so much for the vast amount of 411. I will find out if I am insulin resistant when I see the endo. Yep, the handing out so quickly of the bc pill was absurd! and I didn't have enough sense to say absolutely not, because that was my doc's only answer. I will read up on adenomyosis, isn't that like a cyst? or fibroids?
Ashley, exactly! That is what I'm thinking, because the doc removed endo from my bowel as well, I had adhesions and endo there, as well as my uterus. The bowel and ovary are so close together it's hard to se even in a picture, it's amazing how small they are.
Yes, could you please send me whatever info you have about what you described, I am grateful.

Thanks again ladies, day 2 of AF, heavy one this time, and will be patient and practice some self care for this poor lil sucker of an ovary.
