Default pain in my lower stomach

I've been sick with my allergies and stuff this past week and now i have a sore throat and I have been coughing the last couple days and last night i started hurting in my lower stomach when i was coughing. and my husband said i was probably just coughing to hard or something but now it hurts when i bend over or just sit here at my computer chair. it feels like my left ovary but it could be something else near there like my bladder. but i've had bladder infection before and it don't hurt when i pee or anything. should i go to the er? i'm like not in major pain but its just a dull pain until i cough or bend over then it really hurts. but i just dont want to wait and not go and then something explode or something LOL!

Could you have possibly pulled a muscle when you were coughing?

To me it doesn't sound like anything worth a trip to the ER. If the pain gets to be constant and unrelenting, then you should. If it is just when you cough and such, you might have pulled a muscle in that area. You could be ovulating now which may contribute. Besides your ovary, there isn't much in the left side of your lower abdomen besides intestines. It could possibly be a hernia, but that seems unlikely. Try some ibuprofen to help with pain and swelling.

I had the same pain, I thought it was my ovary. Turns out I have pulled a muscle. I'm going to physio for it cos its persisted for so long.

I have had the same. On occasion I have pulled a muscle in the same spot from either coughing or sneezing. I would maybe get a heating pad or heat rap and where that on your tummy.

Watch for a fever, change in appetite, etc. If things don't get worse, it's probably a pulled muscle, which can really hurt. I agree with the Ibu, and maybe a heating pad on the sore spot.

Is it a constant ache? Or is it aggravated by getting up from a chair or picking things up?

I was convinced that my pain was my ovaries (I always assume anything that goes wrong must be my PCOS lol) but my doc pointed out that the pain wasn't hormonal because it wasn't happening on a monthly/regular basis and it wasn't constant but was aggravated everytime I did the same movements - getting out of a low chair, bending over to pick something up, coughing/sneezing, and when I was walking up and down a hill or stairs and holding the toddler on that hip.

well i got there and they couldn't find nothing wrong.
he said i might of just had a touch of bladder infection and the advil i took helped it go away. he said since i didn't have a fever for more than a day that it probably wasn't nothing major though.
