I'm not really sure whats going on.. thought I would check with you girls before checking with the dr. I rarely have af on my own... maybe 1 or 2 times a year. So dr wants me to take provera if I haven't started after 3 months. I did back in June, and Friday would have been 28 days into my cycle. I noticed on Sunday some very light spotting.. and its been on and off ever since. Last night I had really sharp pains in my left ovary.. just confused abuot what it might be.. I;ve had cysts rupture and know what they feels like but never have had spotted bleeding with it.. just wondered if that would be connected... any ideas would be great.. thanks girls!

I really don't know.. but would ovulation produce spotting? I don't recall that I've ever had any type of bleeding during ovulation.. its very rare for me to have any bleeding other than af... but you know with PCOS anything is possible.

I'm one of those women who spot and have pain when I ovulate. It's normally on my right side. It last a day or two and then gradually subsides. I realized that was what it was when I started tracking my periods on a calendar. I began to notice that it was happening around the same time every month. I know that might be difficult for you since you only get a couple AF's a year. It might be worth talking to your Dr about.
I often have pain and spotting when I'm ovulating (usually right side). I just suffered a surprising ectopic pregancy with very similar symptoms. HCG finally at 0 today. This pregnancy was diagnosed well AFTER they gave me a 10 day provera cycle to reset myself because I had been bleeding and spotting for over 3 1/2 weeks. I had to have IVF to get pregnant with my son (10 yrs ago) and have had one miscarriage 7 years ago so this was a huge shocker!!! Not trying to alarm you, but if the pain or bleeding gets worse you need to let your Dr. know asap.
Back along time ago when Life was okay....I had a few spots I noticed one day..I was on birthcontrol so I figured it was my period starting...but it never did...I had cramps bad.....When and took a pregnancy test...I was pregnant....It turned out to be a good time for just a little while..........Thats the only time I had spotting.
