Default Pants

Time for a whinge I'm afraid....I'm feeling total pants. Not only did my period start yesterday after I'd finished my course of Norethisterone on Friday but I had the most awful pains I've ever had. I had my visit to my consultant and he's starting on Metformin and I start it tomorrow. He wouldn't give me any painkillers despite the fact I told him I was in agony again. So I come home still feeling terrible. Whilst eating my dinner, the pain suddenly get so bad that I black out. According to my fiance I was out for 2 or 3 minutes. I don't remember a thing between picking up my fork to eat and next minute I'm in my fiance's arms crying my eyes out. The pain is so bad I end up being rushed to the local hospital to see the emergency doctor. He was very good I admit but seemed reluctant to give me something else for a bleed. Eventually he gives me Ponstan Forte tablets which are supposed to be part painkiller part blood clotter and some Tramadol capsules which I can only take 2 every 6 hours and these are apparently ok to take with Metfomin. Well, I went to bed at 9pm and woke up at 3am feeling ok. Until I get up to clean myself up, as I'm in such a bloody mess. I take my painkillers and then my fiance informs me I got to take them with food. So i come down, make a cuppa and have a slice of bread so am waiting for them to kick in again. God, I hope when I start on the Metformin that I won't have to go thru this no more. I'm in such agony it's not even funny. Ok enuf of my rant, I'm sorry ladies I just felt the need to whinge as I'm so fed up and I'm feeling so sick again.

Luv Anz xxx

I'm so sorry you're going through this. Blacking out must have been really frightening.

I hope the Met improves things for you from now on.

Good Luck

Exclamation Hugs

Sorry to hear you are having such a tough time.....I used to take Ponstan and it was great for me.

I won't say anything about my, personal, experience with af and taking Met but I hope that for you, it sorts things out.

Thanks to all of you who replied to me, I really was having a rough time of it. I'm still a bit rough, the Ponstan and painkillers are making me feel nauseas after taking them (it can't be the Met yet because I felt like this before I started taking them). I go to bed as soon as I've taken them, that's the only thing that helps. I've lost my appetite too so am only eating bits of bread n stuff to take the tablets with, altho I did manage half a plate full of sausage casserole last night. I am not complaining tho coz my jeans are already baggy round the waist, I walked to the shop to get some fresh air and I was pulling them up all the time. Still, I just wanted to let you know what's going on and to say thanks, it helps so much to read what you guys have put and makes me feel better.

Sending much love and choccie bars

Anz xxxx
