Parkdale Clinic in Ottawa - How long did your referral take?
DH and I were just referred to the Parkdale clinic in Ottawa to begin fertility treatment. My cycles are beginning to be irregular and DH's sperm count is apparently zero. I was just wondering if anyone else has used the Parkdale Clinic and if so, how long it took from your referral to beginning treatment? I'm expecting this to involve more waiting, but I would like to get a rough estimate of how long. Thanks!
Julie

I'm not TTC but still go to the parkdale fertility clinic. My first appointment took about 5 months to get. However, my follow-up is on Monday and I booked it about three weeks ago.
I *think* that the initial visit takes a while to get but any subsequent visit won't take as long, as they'll know what you want out of the visit.
good luck!

I too use the Parkdale Clinic but am not currently TTC.
I think my initial referral took 6 months. But that was a few years ago now . . . I know that there is now approximately 6-8 months between my appointments.

I'm not going to the Parkdale clinic but recently referred someone to this group of women that are using the clinic. http://www.ivfconnections.com/board/...threadid=79784
They maybe able to give you the info you need.
Good Luck!
Thanks for the input everyone! It's greatly appreciated.

You know, I've been following your story for awhile now, and I never once realised that you were in the Ottawa area. We're still waiting for them to call and tell us when out first appointment will be. I'm imagining they'll let us know within three weeks or so of the referral.
I hope you're holding a baby soon!
