Default Pathology Report..

Did you receive your pathology report or hear any results following your loss?
It has been a month for us and we haven't heard anything. We have received the billing so I know it has been done. I am wondering if I need to call into my office or give them a little more time to process the info.

I am just so ready to know why, if that question can be answered.

My OB never mentioned coming back in for the results. But he also didn't really mention if I would even hear the results afterward. But it was also at 8 weeks, and my OB took tissue, and wasn't sure of all its contents because I never actually saw anything pass other than small tissue. Sorry if its TMI.

Sorry to hear of your pain

If your having the babies chromosones tested, that takes about 7 weeks usually (here in Australia anyway) its a DNA style test, they always take ages.

We had it done, just told the results were 46xx. (normal chromosomes, girl). So it didn't give any answers, other then its my body most likely at fault. lots of testing on me to go now.

Pinkkitty, I had the same results from genetic testing after my recent first miscarriage (normal female). They aren't doing any further testing on me, but they are planning to have me use progesterone when I ovulate next time in case my progesterone levels were the issue. I'm curious to hear what other tests they are performing on you.

I'm so sorry for your loss.. With my first baby who stillborn, we had to sign paperwork for autopsy & the placenta goes to pathology automatically.. It took about 3 weeks for results.

I'm so sorry for your loss. We had our autopsy results within 2 weeks, but the genetics report took 5 weeks to come back.

I never even had the option to do an autopsy, wonder why? With my first I was over the 12wk first tri mark (more towards 14wks) it never occurred to me at the time to ask for one, but you think they would have mentioned it. Maybe because it was my first m/c? With my 2nd I didn't even go to the hossy as I was only a little over 5-6wks.
