His name is Dr. Michael Dixon. He is at St. Anthony's in South county. His practice is called St. Gerard Obstetrics. I have been seeing this Dr. for about two years now. He is wonderful! He is patient with everyone and really listens and answers your questions. He takes a very caring and persistent approach, which we all know can be hard to find these days with Dr's. He works hard to make sense of it all and takes each step logically. He finds and treats the cause instead of giving a speedy remedy without careful consideration. He has tried to treat my problems with PCOS as quickly as possible, but doesn't rush it just to get you out of his hair, which can also be hard to find these days. I have also heard he is good with his patients in the delivery room. I hope to find out someday soon! He is a Catholic Dr. so his approach may not be for everyone. He isn't preachy or pompous, but he does incorporate the Catholic churche's teachings into his practice. He encourages the use of natural family planning and other natural methods of charting fertility and cycles. I have found that these methods are VERY helpful for me and keep me in tune with what my body is telling me and him. He will work with you to help treat your PCOS and fertility problems up until in vitro. He does not participate in that step. I'm not sure if he deals with IUI. I have been doing the Glucophage and clomid route, so far, so we will see.....
