I wondered if anyone else has tried the I can make you think book & CD or the Change your life in 7 days book & CD.
I've been watching the programmes on Sky he's been doing, & impressed that he managed to get people over their fears/ Phobias, but still wasn't convinced it was going to work, & the fact I think he's a bit irritating.
Well sunday morning I work up thinking about the I can make you thin book & read all the reviews on amazon thought it was worth a try, it was £5 in adsa & thought I could add it to the rest of my diet books. I think the thing that got me to buy it was people saying they used to drink a couple litres of coke a day & stopped, which I drink all the time.
I got the book yesterday which I read in one sitting & I listen to the CD which makes you go into a daydream & has a lot of the exercises that are in the book, but it is easier when someone is talking you through them.
I've only been doing this now for 24 hours, but I'm already impressed. Once I've finished one meal I'm usually thinking about the next I'm not doing that as much but am little bit, I'm sure that will go. The big thing for me is I haven't drunk coke in over 24 hours, usually now I would of given in or by climbing the walls. I did the exercise in the book to get rid of a craving for good, & now when I think of coke I think it's horrible & kind of makes me feel ill.
He does say not to weigh yourself at all, (it's another habit I need to break) but if you do need to weigh yourself wait 2 weeks between. So I weighed myself yesterday I was 9st. 11lb so I'll post an update in a couple of weeks to see if it's worked.

Hi Oreo! I've noticed some of his programs as well. I did find his apearance on Top Gear a bit amusing. I wish you loads of luck with his program. Please keep us updated, I'm really interested in his process!
Cheers,
Maz

It half works for me - Paul doesn't like diets does he? Whereas I wanted to follow a diet - but healthy eating, nothing faddy. So I do that but use Paul's book and CD for exercise motivation. It works a treat. For anyone used to meditation/pathworking, it isn't much of a stretch - and even if you're not, the CD is really good and gets you into a sort of *alpha state*. Ever since I first used it, I found myself having an urge to exercise - just this massive, subliminal urge! I also use it for the craving buster chapter and found that to be fantastic.
So even if you don't follow everything he says, it may work for you. I've lost half a stone in a month and part of the reason is using *I Can Make You Thin*. Hope you enjoy it as much as I do!
Polly
PS: Have you noticed how the people on his show often look 10 years younger when he's helped them with their phobias?

I have both. The Change your life one certainly made a difference to my outlook on life, unfortunately I suffered a huge emotional setback, so never finished it.
I bought the think thin one about a week before finding I was pg!!! I'll try it in January.

Just wanted to come back to this thread and add - yes I now know for sure Paul McKenna's book works! (Well, it did for me...) I have just realised this morning that in the last week I have had a load of temptations...
1. Son's birthday - fridge and even my bedroom, as we had to hide it - full of junk food - biscuits, crisps, sweets, chockie... All I had were 3 Jaffa Cakes and they were within my diet!
2. Birthday baking - been baking on and off over several days (chocolate buns and cakes for my kids). Not eaten a single bun. Best of all - can look at them now and they might as well be something you'd scrape of your shoe...
3. Visit of chocolate binge eating young relative for 2 days... Went into handmade chocolate shop, watching happily (relieved it wasn't me wasting my money) as she chose then ate a bag of chockies, one after the other. (I think when you're on a diet people do these things as a test or *for a laugh* but she seemed genuinely taken aback I not only didn't even try one, but had zero interest in it).
It's only just now, thinking about it, I realised how many challenges I had this week - temptatrion-wise - and how easy it's been to withstand. I think it helps with weight loss if you constantly find the positives and recognise how far you've come - and I think it was all possible because of Paul's book and CD, as 8 weeks ago I would have scoffed the lot. At the moment, I'm not craving it but better still, finding all those things I used to love disgust me!
So I'm going to give Paul and even bigger thumbs up than I gave him a month ago!

This definately sounds worth trying especially for me and chocolate.
Well done Pollysis, only 3 Jaffa Cakes. Ate a whole packet yesterday. They're such a weakness for me. I usually don't buy them for that reason but caved at the weekend!
