Yay you for wanting to donate blood - its a fantastic thing to do!
But....
Defferal standards vary from country to country but in NZ you can't donate if you have PCO. This is for your sake, not so much the blood recipient. But the rules in your country could be very different. Just give them a call and they can generally answer your queries over the phone.

At least in the US, you can donate with PCOS. They run quite a few tests on the blood, before using it on a patient. If they find anything abnormal, they send you a letter and what-not.
I've donated blood for over 8 years now. I usually give every 3-4 months, as time permits. You must wait 56 days in between, I believe.
They ask you a whole slew of questions, about you sexual history, out of country trips, "are you donating simply to get an AIDS test?", etc. You must be 17, and weigh 110lbs. They will take your vital signs, and prick your finger to make sure you have enough iron. (eating red meat the day before is a good booster, if you tend to run low). Usually, at the drives or blood banks I see, they have a comfy recliner, all the phlebotomists are pretty good at getting the first stick (course, I've got huge veins) and afterwards, they make you eat a snack & some kinda beverage (crackers & OJ, for instance).
Good luck & thanks for donating, if able. Lord knows blood is always in demand
I'm sure they'll let you donate
