PCOS *and* allergic to wheat/rice/potato?

Or am I the only lucky one? Any advice to stick to complex carbs is lost on me since the more complex it is, the worse my gastrointestinal reactions. I've been on combinations of low/no camb diets for about two years.... recently reintegrated corn so I could have SOMETHING crunchy in my diet..... Doctors are not helpful AT ALL. Have been given Metformin but haven't started it yet..... Anybody else out there battling allergies as well? -- Cornelia

I can't do wheat, makes me bloated and abdominal pain.
You're right I agree doctors are not helpful AT ALL- when it comes to knowing about food allergies-they're in the pill business I guess, I like the alternatve approach to stuff nowdays

Thanks, Surrendered. I thought I was the only one. The last dr. I went to for PCOS said "Well I guess you just have some allergies!" and smiled really big when I told her I was dealing with allergies. Besides the fact that she repeated back to me what I'd just told her, she was obnoxious about it as well.

arggg don'tchya just love it when doc think they know it all---then....try to take the credit for answering your problem?! LOL

Oh yes ,boy, do I have allergies! Wheat, Tomato, Honey, Watermelon, Infact any melons, seafood, light allergy to pork , key limes , and peanuts. Then to fresh cut grass n bees, I have fun in the summer being chased by those guys! lol Then quite a few meds, including antibotics. My mom said when I was younger I was put on lots of antibotics and I ended up with allergies to them.
