Default PCOS, Bicornuate Uterus, etc...

Hi All-
I am new to the list, and wasnt sure where to start, so I hope it is ok to just drop everything here ;-)

I am 32, I have no children at this time although I still hope to one of these days. I had emergency surgery in November of 1999 for an ectopic pregnancy (right side). While in surgery, they discovered a grapefruit sized cyst (left side). 3 years later, I had surgery again to remove another cyst (left size) and while in surgery, they checked to see if my tubes were clear. Surprisingly, my right tube was fine (the one with the EP) and the left was blocked (unknown cause). Taking Yaz has controlled the cysts, Spironolactone helped with acne, that my expensive dermatologist could NEVER clear up... Also during this, my current dr discovered that I have a bicornuate uterus, but during subsequent sonograms he decided that it was septum like, but possibly not as bad as he had originally thought...
Everyone still with me????
Ok.. to make matters worse, I was diagnosed with Herpes last year, although I have never had an outbreak.. I have had Interstitial Cystitis for about 10 years, am insulin resistant, and have idiopathis hypersomnia with long sleep time... Did I mention I am 32???

So that leaves me with:
PCOS
Bicornuate Uterus
Interstital Cystitis
One Fallopian Tube
Idiopathic Hypersomnia
RLS & Primary Limb Movement Disorder
Insulin Resistance
Herpes
and of course, depression!!!!

Meds:
Elmiron 200mg BID
Metformin 500mg BID
Celexa 40mg ID
Requip 100mg ID
Spironolactone 2ID
Provigil 200mg BID
Yaz...

I have to say, that between the drugs and all the "conditions" I am very afraid to even try to get pregnant..
So am I the only one with all these problems??
I am so depressed, and in a commited relationship but he just doesnt understand what I go through as he is one of those "healthy people"
Any advice would be greatly appreciated!!!

Wow!! Well all of that sounds very.....intense!!
I can't say that I know exactly how you feel...but similar maybe. For the past 3-4 years I have been having a lot of problems....severe depression, anxiety, insomnia, gallbladder disease (had it removed), severe joint pain in hips, knees (I'm overweight...but not so much that its super hard on my body...plus I exercise frequently), my scalp was bleeding, digestive problems were continuing (had to have an EGD & Colonoscopy to check for cancer..), irregular periods, pelvic pain, no matter what I do I couldn't lose weight...my eyes were crazy dry (i have plugs in my tear ducts and prescription eye drops).... Yeah it was getting overwhelming.
I would try to talk casually to my roommates and they'd joke around that Yeah, I'm dying (hilarious...I'm 23. Boys are so witty

Anyways, I recently found out that I had several food allergies, aside from minor reactions showing to several fruits and veggies I ate often, I found out that I was allergic to wheat, yeast & black pepper. Also, this past week, I found out that I have PCOS. I am currently on spironolactone, welbutrin, metformin, yasmin, and a few vitamins and supplements to help. So yeah...

My advice....vent on the boards, but don't expect him to understand. While he might be extremely loving and caring, he's not a woman, and he doesn't have several problems like you do. You are doing the right thing by staying on top of your meds and joining a support forum. Keep researching your conditions...look into natural cures (not to a point where you are obsessed....or sacrificing animals..but you know and look to the bf for massages, snuggle time, and enjoyable dinner s and outings. Just so you know, you're not alone!
