Default PCOS--Dandruff??

Hi Ladies, I have noticed in the last year itchy scalp and psoriasis. I never had this before. I use T/Gel twice a week, it's not working as well as it did when I 1st started using it. Now I think it's drying my hair really bad!! Is this a symptom of pcos??? It's the only reason I can think of. Does anyone have any remedies that work?? Also I have long thick, curly hair and I wash it 3-4 times a week and globs of hair come out in the shower!! I know that's is a symptom. I'm not balding or thinning yet, is there anything I can do to make sure I don't lose my hair later?
Thanks!!

I'm not sure if dry hair is a symptom, but I experienced it too! I used to have long, thick hair.. then I noticed more and more that it was coming out everywhere with everything! My shirt was constantly covered, it came out in wads when I brushed it, and I lost clumps in the shower too. Needless to say I found it frightening and depressing. =( More recently I started experiencing the itching too, and kept finding blood when I scratched.

I tried T-Gel, but not for long. The burning it caused my scalp was awful (is that normal?). I use regular Suave shampoo now, and although I still have a little bit of dandruff the itching has gone away.

I'm sorry I can't give you any good advice. Maybe you should consider a trip to a dermatologist? They could probably give some good suggestions.

Hi there. I have the same problem. I have gone to a dermatologist. They recommended using T-gel and other anti-dandruff shampoo. I have very long naturally curly hair. I get my hair flat-ironed straight. I am mixed so my hair is not manageable when curly. I get my hair done every 3 weeks, even thought the dermatologist reccommended to go every 2 weeks. My dandruff is bad, in the front of head. My head is itchy about one week out for getting hair done. When it gets to bad I wash it myself, and I have clobs of hair and tangles come out. T-gel stinks. I dont like the way it makes my head smell. I was also told not to get a hot oil treatments because it can make the dandruff worse.
