I really need to find a doctor ( ob/gyn- etc..) in Long Island NY that is PCOS friendly and aware. I Prefer someone who's has knowledge of the holistic front but just anyone who's not a jerk when it comes PCOS. Thanks!

Hey fellow Long Islanders!!
I am seeing an RE who specializes in PCOS, Dr. Micheline Chu. She is young and fairly cutting-edge. I am not sure what her feelings are on holistic medicine, but she is definitely approachable and answered all of my questions. She sat down with me for almost an hour and was very thorough. I get the feeling she likes patients who are informed.
She is definitely Met-friendly-- she wants me to stay on it should I get PG.

3rd Cycle 8/20: 150 mg Clomid CD3-7, IUI-- BFN
4th cycle: Clomid as above, 3 back to back IUIs--BUST
5th cycle: Clomid as above, non-stop bleeding,no O--- BUST
11/16: moving on to IVF........

OMG i went to a horrific ob/gyn in Bethpage! Was it Dr. Lewis Rosenberg on Hempstead Turnpike? I went to him 4 years ago when i suddenly went to the ER for for this pain in my ovary that nearly killed me. and he told me i had NO cysts and too that i had a abnormal papsmear and was trying to force me to do that cone-whatcha call it where they cut a chunk of your cervix out....i started to ask questions about it and he got mad so i refused to do it....Not to long after i went to a different GYN, and i had a normal pap and every check up since .

That's weird. I went to a horrible gyno named Lisa Rosenberg in Queens and she said I had an abnormal pap and did a colposcopy. I never had an abnormal pap before, nor did I have one after. Maybe they can bill the insurance companies for a lot for that procedure. This doc also told me I had no cysts, and another doc said I had a ton. Add this to all the docs who outright refused to test my hormones because they were discriminating against me for being fat, and you can see why I don't trust doctors.
