I'm seeing an endo presently who sees PCOS patients, but to be honest I don't feel comfortable with her. I have IR and the first visit she gave me the regular pyramid diet to follow. When I questioned all the carbs she said to just follow the diet as is and you'll lose weight. As we know, PCOS and IR need low carb. When I went back 2 months later, she told me to just lower my calories....Put me on Gluco. Told her I was bleeding (told me it was perimenopause, and when I didn't stop bleeding (July-present) nonstop told me to stop Gluco and see gyno. I don't have real confidence and would like to find someone that can really understand and help me.

I hope someone out there lives in my area because I can't seem to find anyone on my own through research. Also, I would like to find a nutritionist in my area.

There must be someone from the Lehigh Valley that has PCOS, please contact me.

I'm sorry you're not having any luck with this doc you're seeing. I don't know of anyone in the Lehigh Valley, and I hope someone has a recommendation for you,

but if not, and if you're into traveling a little bit for a great doc, there is an Awesome Dr in Philadelphia.

I think that'd be a little over an hour traveling time?!? I drive an hour and a half to see her.

Her Name is Dr Katherine Sherif, and she is the director for the Center for PCOS at Drexel College of Medicine in Philly. She is really a great doctor, and a great listener.
