Default pcos/endo/fibroids

Has been sometime since I last posted. I have just had a fibroid removal and endo/adhesion excision as well as pcos finally confirming by someone who knows what he is doing. I just wondered if any of you had all of these and if so what treatments you have had and how succesful they have been. I have had the endo excised which is supposed to be better than having it lasered so hoping I will be ok. If not my gynae wants to regularly review me and it could be a hysterectomy.

Thanks

I've only had to deal with the PCOS and a fibroid. I couldn't imagine the pain thrown in their from the endo for you. For a year, I tried managing the fibroid with meds. Didn't work to well for me. After having a run in with a negligent ER dr, my only option was the hysterectomy. I looked like I was 10 months pregnant, the uterus was the size of one that it would've been had I been 4 months pregnant, and the fibroid was growing. Had the ER dr done a US or even a pelvic, it might have been saved by using an anti-inflammatory med. Instead, the crackhead dx-ed me with Menstrual Cramps and told me to take advil as needed for pain.

Make sure that you follow your gyn's advice on monitoring the endo and fibroid, both have a tendency to come back. And I've heard that even after a hyst, the endo may come back.

I think your best advice might come from a different sight. www.hystersisters.com There is a sub-topic called Hysterectomy options and alternative treatments.

Beagle--I have all three...I have done Lupron for 6 months which helped with both the endo and Fibroids. I started Metformin for the PCOS...I have gotten pg twice w/o any problems..but lost my son at 21 weeks this past January 12th. My dr said that my uterus was riddled with fibroids and there was so many it didn't do any good to try and get rid of any. When I was diagnosed my left ovary had been adhesied (sp) to my colon and was about to pull away. But my 5th pg was off of my left ovary so I was pretty lucky that the endo didn't hurt it too bad.
