Question PCOS, Endometriosis, and Hysterectomies

Has anyone decided to have a hysterectomy due to repeated laps as a result of PCOS and/or endometriosis? If so, did it help?

TIA

I have been through it all.

The hysterectomy did help in the pelvic pain area.
But it caused weight gain, high cholesteral and Trigliserites.
My skin changed(thinner)
Boobs got saggy within 6months post op.

So to have it and how much someone is suffering with symptoms are the only way to make such a decision to remove it all.(BTW..I had a complete)

Another place to ask is at histersisters.com
They are more set up to handle detail questions for a hysterectomy.

Hang in there

Patty

Thanks Patty, going to have to put this one out of my mind for now.
Too much going on to even think about a hysterectomy, and all that goes with it. Was just throwing it out there, was brought up again today b/c I have breakthrough bleeding dark brown for a few days, and just thinking about not able to bear children makes me sad, and even if I TTC, with the PCOS, not sure if I would
frustrated, but all is well I guess.
Thanks again

Have you looked into Andneomyosis?
That could be the reason for the brown/breakthrough bleeds.

Let me know,

Patty

not sure what to do b/c I had my last lap in Feb. 2005, and my breakthrough bleeding and pain right where he removed all the adhesions is hurting more than ever. I have NEVER had breakthrough bleeding that is literally the color of my bm's, until this week. I chalk it up to my hormones going crazy b/c of the weight I am at - which I haven't been at in pretty much 10 years.
So todsay, I took 600mg of Advil, hoping it will help as well as my Ativan for all the anxiety all this crap causes.
I called the doc who did my surgery, Friday, and there was a disconnected phone which kinda freaks me out a lil....what do I do about that? Find another doc I guess (?)
