Default Pcos GeneralDoubt

Hi ,

I have been diagonised Polycystic Ovary.
Before diagonising PCOS i was having my periods every 30 days. Then i satrted getting it every 45 days. That is when i met a doctor and was diagonised PCOS. My DOctor said this can be treated after marriage when i want to conceive.

Now i am married and wanted to know ore about theproblem i have.
My Question might be basic , but please answer those ..

1) My doubt is , does having PCOS means i have never ovualted from the day i have age attended?
2) Does Pcos means that i get ovulated delayedly?
3) If i dont get periods for a month , does that means that i didnt ovulate for that month alone?
4) Or Does PCOS does not have connection with Ovulation at all ?

Thanks in Advance,
Swetha

Swetha -

PCOS seems to treat every PCOS woman differently. Some women with PCOS have infertility problems and others have no problem at all having babies. Some women ovulate, some women need help ovulating properly to become pregnant.

I suggest getting the book Taking Charge of Your Fertility. It will help you understand your cycles, track your cycles and by recording this information it will give your dr a better idea of what is going on.

There is a lot that can be done now days in regards to infertility so PCOS is not a diagnosis of infertility

Good luck.
