Hi All...
I am 29 years old and was diagnosed with PCOS in 2002, but have experienced severe symptoms since I was a young child (several symptoms liked back to onset of PCOS). I used to have my weight in check....
But as I reach 30...I can not stop weight gain no matter what I do.
A nutritionist/dietitian recommended HCG drops...has ANYONE ever done the drops (not injections) and had results? Is there any research out there regarding PCOS and HCG treatments? I have tried every diet, pill, treatment under the sun, so I am tempted...
Help is appreciated....

Hi Caren! I started the hCG back in July I did the injections however my friend and her mom who turned me onto hCG both did the drops and they were both as successful with the drops as I was with the injections!! Another member on here (RedheadRobyne) just started hCG and is using the spray and is getting great results as well. From my experience and those around me that have done the hCG its an all around win win situation!!!
Can you tell me if you had any side effects to the HCG?
Did you do it along with a low calorie diet? Are you taking any other treatments for your PCOS concurrently?

I did not have ANY side effects except for complete surprise that I was down at least a pound a day without any exercise!! You do have to follow a strict 500 calorie/day diet. And I was not taking any medication at all- I had stopped taking my thyroid (synthroid) and PCOS (Byetta) meds about 5 months prior. I went thru a medspa type of clinic and was pretty disappointed that I spent almost $500(for a 6 week program) for it cause the clinic was lame and all it included was a weekly weigh in and them trying to sell me more crap that I didnt need. My friend that turned me on to it ordered all of her supplies off the internet for just under $100.

What I recommend is that you buy the book The Weight Loss Cure by Kevin Trudeau. I bought it at Barnes & Noble for under $10 and it outlines the entire process from Phase 1-4. I only went thru Phase 2 & 3.

I bought the book...but the 500 calorie diet kind of scares me. I am just worried I will be getting enough nutrition. My doc (at the clinic) said the drops would only be $200...so I was going to try it once and if I like it do one more cycle. Do you have the link of where to find it on the internet?
Man...I could not imagine even loosing 15 pounds in one month...what I would give to fit into my "normal" clothes again. I feel like a fat girl stuck in a normal girls body....

I actually did the injections myself and lost 20 lbs in 23 days. The minimum length of time to be on the hCG is 23 days, the longest is 40 days (per round). I was worried about the 500 calories in the beginning as well, but to be completely honest with you I was extremely surprised to find that I did not ever feel like I was hungry! I jumped all in and followed the book to the T and went all organic (meat, veggies, fruit, coffee, tea and spices)- which proved to be quite expensive. My best girlfriend went to the clinic and did the hCG with me and she didnt buy any organic and still lost 20 lbs herself. You do have to be dedicated and consistent. I think I would have done another round rather soon afterwards if I didnt have my bf sitting next to me with a pizza exclaiming that I only had X number of days until I could have a slice of pizza. I never cheated but it certainly would have been a bit easier if I had a better support system. I plan to start another round in January and he has agreed to do it along with me altho he only needs/plans to lose about 25 lbs.
This next time I am also planning on completing the phase 1 (detox,cleanse) which I did not do last time. I was just going to pick up the Jillian Michaels detox.
I will have to go back thru my emails and find the link where my friend purchased her drops online- I will PM it to you. Also Robyne purchased a spray online so if you think that you may want to do the spray she could get you some info on where she got hers.
