Thumbs up PCOS Knowledgeable OB/GYN in Atlanta

FINALLY! a doctor who know's what he's doing!

I found an AWESOME OBGYN at Northside hospital and had my first appointment with him today. His name is Dr. Elbridge Bills and he is very caring. The office was very nice, had armless chairs which is a big plus. He's got every electronic gadget known to man, a computer in every room, a digital camera for profile pics, a 4D Ultrasound machine, at least one standard US machine with 2 monitors...leather chairs, Cisco WAP's...it just goes on and on! He is VERY knowledgeable about PCOS, even explained about how cysts on the ovaries are a SYMPTOM and not the entire problem. I actually had an ultrasound, which normally i'd have to go to another office to have done. Right away he saw that everything looked "Normal" except for the MULTIPLE cysts on my right ovary! (hence the pain on that side) He could NOT find my left ovary, however. He said It was probably buried under my colon. He even showed my my iliac artery and the blood flow to/from it.

Anyway, he gave me a script for Spironolactone for the excess hair, Provera, and he EVEN gave me a prescription for Glucophage for the insulin resistance. Now...in the past, i'd have to search HIGH and LOW to find a doctor who knew anything about the relationship between Insulin levels and ovulating.

While doing the US he said to his nurse "We're going to need a PCOS pack for this one." I didn't think much of it, except on our way out the nurse was ready with 5 vials and a needle! (By the way, the staff is very caring an personable). They tested me for all hormone levels and things related to PCOS. I can't wait to hear the results later this week.
