Default PCOS in Las Vegas, NV

Hello, I'm looking for a OB/GYN of GP that specializes in PCOS in Las Vegas. If not specialize, someone that is sensitive or understanding of us having PCOS. My current OB/GYN and GP doesn't really listen and just tells me lose weight. Easier said than done. I already see a well know RE, just need to find someone else as my RE is not all that sensitive when talking about PCOS.

Thank you.

I go to Dr Volker at Women's Specialty Care. He is a GREAT doctor and really takes his time with you. It takes forever to get an appt with him but it's worth it. If you can't get in with him my friend goes to Dr Vennart in the same office and she said that he is really good too. Here is some info about Dr Volker:

Oh, I forgot to mention- when I first started going to him I was about 227 pounds and although he did calculate my BMI and tell me that it would help if I lost weight he was very nice about it, didn't dwell on it and did not blame that for all of my problems. He still prescribed Met and other meds that would help and didn't mention the weight any more. My friend who sees Dr Vennart said that he has never mentioned her weight either or used that as an excuse for her problems.

I'm moving to Vegas in a few weeks
Is Dr Volker an endo? and how long does it take to get an appointment? I need a prescription to met asap, my symptoms are worsening lately!

I called about a week ago and got in with Dr. Volker for mid- Sept. On the other hand my last appt I had to schedule 6 months in advance so it just depends. He's not an endo, but he has written papers on PCOS and seems to really know his stuff. If you can't get in with him, ask for Dr. Vennart- my friend is usually able to book with him within 2 weeks or less. She doesn't take Met, so I'm not positive on his stance on it, but he seems pretty progressive and since he basically works for Dr. Volker I would imagine that they would have similar views on things.
