I just discovered that I can actively adjust the prices...the downloadable copy is now $2.50.

Also, folks, I invite you to visit my blog, "PCOS for the Masses," at http://pcostoday.wordpress.com. I discuss issues relating to the magazine AND about the public relations and marketing of PCOS. I'd really, REALLY love some input on the questions and issues I post there, so please take a few moments to visit the blog!
Thanks!

I love the idea. I would like to see articles about the diff versions of pcos that women get. A symptom checker for us to pass on to friends w/ the ability to tell them how to talk to their doctor. Maybe a helpful way of avoiding those docs who are fat mean or just plain fat haters.
Hi Linda, I am an editor and freelance writer by trade... please me know if you need any contributors down the road. I would love to be involved.

Hi Linda,
I am a college freshman diagnosed with PCOS at 16. I write for my school paper, considering a communications major. I have quite a lot of writing experience as I was the editor-in-chief of my High School paper as well. I know I may be young and not have as much experience as many other writers out there, but I love doing research on PCOS and informing the general public, as well as helping those with PCOS through my experience and research I read. Please let me know if you need ANY kind of help; I will be more than happy to contribute to the magazine!!!
Looking foward to speaking with you,
Hara

Hi PCOS readers! As always, I keep trying to find new and different ways to communicate about PCOS. At the end of 2007, I decided to rebrand "PCOS Today Magazine" to simply "PCOS Today." In the process, I changed the website, its URL, everything.
I want to invite all of you to check it out at http://www.pcostoday.net (so much easier to type out, too). I'm trying to add more interactivity to it, as well as downloadable documents for readers to use when they visit their doctors and other PCOS-related professionals. I've added more book reviews, a Q & A section, "Ask Angela," which provides answers to your nutritional questions, and even a blog listing.
If you'd like to contribute, let me know!

you could try to do the bartering thing with a graphic design company, like a 1/2 page ad every month for designing the cover or somthing?
I'm a graphic designer and would totally be on board for this project if you need someone! This would be an awesome thing to have. And I could see about getting copies out to the Women's Center at the community college.
“According to a recent survey, men say the first thing they notice about a woman is their eyes, and women say the first thing they notice about men is they're a bunch of liars”
New content has been added to PCOS Today. Ask Angela, an occasional column answering your questions about PCOS-related nutrition, continues to be quite popular. Angela Grassi, PCOS nutritionist, is answering questions about soy and dairy. Take a look!
Hara Stephanou tells her story of dealing with PCOS, and soon there will be an interview with Hana Konecna, who recently published "The Quest for a Child" with Anshan Publishers UK. Read the review of her book here.
I'm still looking for writers, graphic designers, and interns. If you have experience with any kind of communication, e-mail me. If you are interested in interning for PCOS Today (and are a college student), check here!

wow, linda, what a wonderful idea! it has been so exciting to read the progression of this concept over the last several years and i'm really grateful for your dedication to this and everyone's ideas and contributions! i think this is something that can be extremely helpful for not only we cysters, but the people in our lives (professional and personal!) as well. so thank you so much!
if you'll do me the honor, i'd love to contribute in some way! i have a master's in social work with a concentration in mental health and have worked in the psychiatric field for several years. in addition, when i was an undergrad, i earned my BA in psychology and my minor was in English. i am a strong writer and have wanted to somehow do more of it with some kind of publication (but being type-cast as a "psych person" i have no idea how to make the cross over) but the only formal experiences i've had have been being a regular contributor and staff for my high school's literary magazine and on the task force that re-wrote and redesigned my program's brochure last year. i'd love to offer some help with writing if you think my writing is up to par for that. i also have another idea that i would really love to be a part of...maybe a section similar to the "ask angela" section but focused on mental health issues related to PCOS....like poor self images (PCOS can really heighten our insecurities!), depression, how to talk to others about it, etc....what do you think???
either way, i'd love to contribute to this in some way! it's such a wonderful concept! thanks for taking it on and thank you to all the cysters that have helped shape this into a reality!
