Sally: Heck yes!!! We need to talk. E-mail me at lmharvey@pcostoday.net so we can start the convo! This is an area that we need more information in.
Kat: Thanks!!! I need to get you a new logo/banner too. Where do I send it?

p.s. Anybody have any medical contacts who'd be willing to answer questions? I get lots of nutrition questions (I ferry those to Angela Grassi), but I'm not an M.D. (I just play one on TV??? ).

I agree with the publication complication, but tagging onto an existing magazine might help. Better Homes and Gardens has a Diabetes Living magazine that comes out 4 times a year and I think some of the notoriety comes from the fact that it is a publication from a well known, and well read, magazine.

Great idea!
I think it is critical to have a newsletter to keep us all updated on the latest technologies, low carb/low glycemic index foods, the latest research, and also STORIES! There is nothing more uplifting that reading about a fellow PCOS-er who has conceived, or successfully controlled their symptoms!
The doc office needs this kind of material, especially for the new PCOS-ers who are overwhelmed and confused and need the support...you need to know SOMEONE is out there!
I will subscribe for sure, congrats on your motivation for this wonderful idea!

Has anyone heard of Dr Nancy Dunne's PCOS newsletter? She is a naturopath in the US and I think her daughter has PCOS. The newsletter is free, but the rest of the site is fairly mercenary. I purchased the e-book, based on the moneyback guarantee but when I requested a refund after being underwhelmed by the contents (for my personal situation - already nutritionally aware, organic foods, exercise etc) I didn't even get a reply, let alone a refund. Anyway, some of their information is interesting, if a lot is plugging their own products and services and their website is www.ovarian-cysts-pcos.com
It's a good way to keep abreast of some of the cutting edge research being done and a platform to start your own research from. If anyone is interested in the book, PM me, I might be able to help you determine whether it will be valuable for you or not, before you actually purchase it. I think copyright laws permit the copying and sharing of 10 or 20% of any book, so I can give you a "sample".
I really love the idea of an online mag. That way it might be easier to keep updated. If you need a logo you can have people on this site design logos, and then have logo competition where you choose the best logo. I think that it can have sections similar to the forums on this site good luck and keep us updated.!!
