Hello all,

I found this message board and thought it might be a nice place to get some other viewpoints.

I was tentatively diagnosed with PCOS about a year and a half ago due to a significant rapid weight gain and a lot of other symptoms (unwanted hair, irregular periods etc)

I went on Atkins for 8 months without doing any decisive testing cause I really want to have kids (later...I'm only 23) and the thought that I might not would be devastating. I really lost weight but then I broke up with my bf of like two years last october and promptly ordered a pizza (ugh).

I've been gaining all the weight back plus some and so depressed so I went to a PCOS specialist today. They did an ultrasound and some blood tests (I wasn't prepared! I've been putting it off for FOREVER! )...I find out for sure tomorrow, and I get the added happiness of knowing that I have ballooned up to 192 pounds (i should just throw myself out a window...)

I'm pretty nervous, she gave me a script for metformin if the tests are positive...

And on top of all that I started atkins again this weekend in preparation for the appointment and although I've been good I am STARVING. And I don't feel good cause I'm just so hungry no matter how much I eat. I'm mainly posting this to make myself busy so I don't go eat a big beautiful delectible delicious piece of bread or some pasta.

So that's it, I don't know what I'm looking for exactly, an outlet I suppose...sigh...
