If you have regular periods and the Dr's don't know if you are insulin restistant or PCOS, it seems odd that you would be put on the drug. Have you had labs drawn? What do your FSH, LH, fasting glucose, testosterone and free androgen look like? Have you had a HSG done to see if your tubes are clear?
I would want a firmer diagnosis before I started PCOS treatment.
