Hi, I am a type one diabetic of 16+ yrs. that has just been diagnosed with PCOS. I am almost 23 and have just recently married my high school sweet heart. We are trying to get pg. I have started taking glucophage? and don't understand what exactly is going on or how this pill fixes it, and lots of other stuff. I am looking for someone out there with simular difficultys to share advice etc. thank you. sklenda03

Hi...Welcome to SC. Congrats on getting married to your sweet heart. All I can say is what i have experienced with the glucophage...my hormones were a mess coming off of birth control pills. There is a section on Glucophage here. I am on the generic (Met.) and my Father in law is on Glucophage. I have insulin resistance and am trying to avoid diabetes, so I take Met. My FIL has type 2 diabetes and regulates it with the Glucophage.
