I just got my ultra sound results back, my dr (who I don't like, but am temporarily stuck with) said my ovaries have no cysts and they look clear and healthy - which I suppose is a good thing, although I don't know of any other women in that situation. Both of my sisters have cysts on their ovaries, and both have had burst cysts and I've never had that. Does that mean I have a higher chance of conceiving easily?

Well, that's possible, especially if you have been on birth control pills recently.
Since the BCP prevent ovulation, you wouldn't develop any new cysts when you were taking them, and it would also have allowed time for any old cycts to go away.
If you are trying to get pregnant, often the best time to try is immediately after you stop taking BCP, because that's when the hormones are closest to normal. After you have been off BCP for a while, you might start developing cysts again.
But everyone is different -- perhaps you have a version of PCOS where you don't actually have any cysts.

I have never had any cysts show up on ultrasounds, something I am sooo thankful for. PCOS is weird, there are so many variations to the list of symptoms. I'm no expert, but I would think that no cysts would at least make it a little easier, since that's one less thing you have to deal with, at least that's what I'm hoping happens with myself. LOL Good luck TTC.

Jan/Feb - Clomid 150mg, O'd, BFN
Feb/March - taking break due to 3-inch cyst
March/April - Clomid 150mg, praying...
I do not have the pearl like cysts on my ovaries. I have had cyst (one at a time) on my left ovary that at the time I had to take a month of BCP's. I can't help you with the getting pg because we have male fertility issues and are not able to conceive at all.
Good Luck
Stacy

I don't have any cysts either, at least not since the last time I've been checked, and not ever. Only thing is my ovaries are larger then they should be....I've read that cysts don't always have to be there to have pcos.

Yep! You can have PCOS and not have any cysts! This is what my Doctor told me. PCOS is just the generic term for something that encompasses a wide range of symptoms. Stein Leventhal Syndrome is it's given name but 9 out of 10 women found they had cysts where we other few do not. My U/S came back negative for cysts but they did find a lovely little Fibroid! They are monitoring it for changes now as I have restarted BCP's... You can check that out in the BCP's section... Concerning Yasmin and what not... So do not be to to shocked if you come up with having no cysts. PCOS is a huge encompassing diagnosis.

I dont have any cysts either. But that hasnt made it any easier for me to concieve.I have been trying for 5yrs with no luck.Hopefully you have better luck then I have had.
Good Luck TTC!!!
That is AWESOME news!!! No cysts is great and it does mean you should be able to get pregnant easier. Once I went through my 2 cyst removal surgeries I was told it would be easier to get pregnant! I got pregnant 3 months later.
Happy News!

I don't have any cysts either. PCOS is a syndrome, and it can present itself in many different ways. Unfortunately, it caused me to have fertility problems, like many others.
I'm glad you don't have any cysts, but that doesn't mean you will have an easier time conceiving. DH and I have been ttc for 3 years now!
GL and babydust!
