Hey Irene,
i'm only 20 and have never ttc, but i was was put on dianette in sept 2004, but had to stop taking it in july of this year 2005 due to suffering from severe depression which i got while on it. i felt awful for ages after coming off it - sick and dizzy etc, it takes a whole for your body to adjust to the different levels of hormones in your body - my gyn said it can take up to 6 months or so for the effects of the pill to be totally gone and for your body to readjust. i'd say just make sure u exercise and eat a healthy balanced diet - try to choose wholegrains, oats etc over refined carbs to help keep blood sugar levels constant and prevent sugar cravings, eat lots of veg, snack on nuts and seeds, fish and chicken (u prob know that already tho!).
i'm going to start taking vitex again - its supposed to help promote ovulation - i took it for a few months (july to end of sept) and had regular periods on it but stopped when my gyn said not to bother with it but havent had a proper period since so thinking about going back onto it to help regulate my hormone levels. ive heard EPO is supposed to be good so i'd say keep taking that - i take well woman - a multivitamin for women which has EPO in and it seems to help.
good luck, hope the dizzy spells get less! its good you're now sleeping better.
Claire x
