Unhappy PCOS & Pain??

I have alot of lower abdomen pain and have had for a long time now, it was part of the reason i seeked the advice of a DR which lead to my scans and the diagnosis, when mentioning this to my new consultant she was sure that the pain isnt that, it feels like constant period pains (i dont know how she can tell me its not, when im feeling it so obviously)! Does anyone else have any pains with their PCOS and has it been recognised or ignored?? if so is there anything i can do to relieve the pain??

My daughter also complains of constant pain. Her Dr. also told her it was not because of her PCOS. Her Dr. at college did give her medicine for pain as well as for nausea. I don't understand it?

I have PCOS and found a wonderful dr. that knows a lot about PCOS. I was having lower andominal pain, mine was mostly to the left side, but non-the-less lower abdominal pain. My dr. did an ultrasound and found that there was not one large cyst but so many little ones especially on my left ovary that my ovary was basically like a small balloon packed just as full as it could be with cysts. My dr. did laproscopic surgery and drilled holes in my ovaries to realease the pressure and pop many of the cysts and I have been pain free for a month now. I am not a dr., but If I had to say I would tell you that yes it is the PCOS causing your pain, whether is one large cyst or a bunch of small ones, they will cause you pain, you might question your dr. about this! If I can help in any other way let me know!
