anyone else have this combo? the nurse practioner told me to go on a 1500 calorie diet and to do carb counting...but I'm so confused, I've tried looking all this stuff up, but nothing makes sense to me. I'm on 500 mg of metformin once a day (a month and 1 week) and yaz bc(1 month), she also told me to take 2 omega 3 fatty acids a day(1 wk). I haven't seen any changes, and I try to excercise daily (25 min. walking on low/high inclines) Before all of the medication I had already lost some pounds (6 lbs lost in total so far! yay!) I'm just getting so hopeless sometimes that I'm never going to get to a healthy weight or healthy skin. I want to be a better me, but I really can't feel it with all of this. Any input, experiences, advice would be helpful!
Did you run a search here on the board on *fatty liver*?
There are a lot of threads here.
If your parently have you covered on their health insurance, the insurance might cover the cost of a nutritionist...and you might only need one visit to get on on the right track.

"Did you run a search here on the board on *fatty liver*?"
oops! haha...I'm ashamed to say I didn't! I guess I should've done that first! But I'll double check our insurance to see if I can get the nutrition visit covered! Thanks for the link by the way! Your help was greatly appreciated! ^.^)
hey believe.it! i see a PCOS nutritionist who actually has PCOS herself and she has a section on her website with nutrition tips, and you don't have to be her client to take advantage of what she has to offer! her number is actually on the site so you can call her if you want (with credit card info.) and have a consultation over the phone.
Hey, Believe. It, did your doctor put you on some birth control pills? Mine gave me some to take for ten consecutive days, and then another set of pills to take after that for a couple of months.
I learned I had PCOS and I'm pre-diabetes and developing fatty liver cancer today. :[ I'm kind of numb right now, because she kept saying that I have to be careful. I'm overweight, yeah, and it's worse that I'm so short. D:
Today was the first day I actually looked at food and was scared of it. I never really thought this would happen. =/ sigh.
And if you want to talk about food, I find it helpful that eating ever four hours throughout the day helps a lot. 3 meals, and light snacks in between. Just make sure you drink a lot of water.
