i'm looking for one too. I've read that IVF of NJ deals with PCOS. That's the only place I've heard of here though. My friend from San Fran went to a PCOS specialized clinic. She told me to call there and see if they have a recommended clinic/Dr. in NJ/NYC. I can't post website here bc I'm too new, but if you google PCOS and UCFS together, the website comes out. I'm going to call them today. Good luck!
Jerseygirl, please let me know what you find out. I googled what you suggested and going to be PCOS clinic like the one in CA would be amazing!! Thanks!

hi, I'm not sure where you are located... But I used to work at Delaware Valley Ob/gyn. They have locations in Plainsboro & Lawrencville. They have an infertility specialist there... and Dr. Sarma knows quite a bit about PCOS. I learned so much from them about PCOS when i worked there.
If you are in Central or South Jersey, it is worth the trek into Philadelphia to see Dr. Katherine Sherif at the Drexel Center for Women's Health on North Broad Street. Dr. Sherif is a great, compassionate doctor who really understands PCOS and will listen to you! She has a lot of time for her patients and is willing to explore any suggestions you may have. You may have to wait for an appointment, but it's worth it.
I have seen Dr. Seth Derman at Delaware Valley Ob/Gyn in Lawrenceville. He is the main PCOS doc there. I came in hoping for a natural approach (supplements, vitamins etc.) to deal with PCOS and his solution was to tell me to lower my carb intake. He also gave me an rx for Metformin. They have another doctor there who deals with PCOS, Dr. Robin Hilsenrath. She is fairly new to the practice and never having seen her, I don't know what her approach to PCOS is.
So, here's the bottom line, if you're looking for a doctor who take a 'traditional' approach to PCOS, Delaware Valley Ob/Gyn would be fine, but if you are looking for a doctor who takes a more 'holistic' (diet, exercise, vitamins, Metformin, if you want it) approach to PCOS, see Dr. Sherif!
I'm a new member to the board, but I've been reading the info for a long time. I just saw Dr. Katherine Sherif at Drexel for the first time last week and I wish I'd heard about her years ago. She is very kind and compassionate...she listened to what I had to say and was positive that we can battle the PCOS together. I start Byetta tomorrow, so I don't know exactly what to expect. But if you live anywhere near Philadelphia, Dr. Sherif is more than worth the trip. I've been to so many "experts" over the years who often made things worse! Dr. Sherif explained in detail why the other things did not work, and how she was going to turn it all around for me. If you're near Philly, go see Dr. Sherif... you will NOT regret it!
