mine is in Federal Way , Her name is Shaista Quddusi I believe thats how to spell it. She new the moment I walked through the door what I had and she gives me packets with the latest info in them along with talking every possible opption with me in its good and bad light. I find that she actually cares and thats what matters the most to me it all depends on what you expect out of a Endo. GOOD LUCK

I briefly went to the University of Washington reproductive endocrinology clinic but I wasn't TTC at the time and I felt like they weren't very interested in me. But if you are actually TTC I am sure they are good.
I switched to a Maureen Marshall who is affiliated with Swedish Hospital First Hill and she was great.
There is another lady I have seen reccommended by the name of Frances Broyles - I think she is also with Swedish - but she was not taking new patients when I called so they connected me with Dr. Marshall instead. This was over 3 years ago so don't assume she is no longer taking new patients - you can try either one.

Thanks RunnerDuck and Zameira! Yes, I'm looking for a fertility doctor, specializing in PCOS. Is Swedish Hospital the best Fertility Hosp/Clinic in Seattle?
I don't know anything about fertility at Swedish - I wasn't TTC when we lived there (I got pregnant by accident)
I am sure UW's fertility people are good, I just didn't have much luck with them because I wasn't TTC. I feel like REs treat you like a patient to be dealt with and dismissed as quickly as possible if you aren't TTC. Maybe I just have bad luck, I dunno, but my last endo agreed that this assessment isn't all in my head.
One thing I could tell I did like about UW's fertility place was it seemed they allowed kids there... which is kind of a double edged sword. It actually p!ssed me off at the time but now that I have a kid and am TTC #2 - a lot of RE offices won't let you bring kids "out of consideration for the other patients" - which I understand - but it makes things really hard when you can't find anyone to watch your kid and you and DH both have to go in. Cuts both ways. May be something you appreciate down the line.

I'm glad you have had luck with Qudusi. My doctor recommended her and she was horrible. In my last checkup with her she looked at my feet and then gave me a coupon for a laser hair removal place. She spent more time finding the coupon than talking to me. Then when my blood results came back with high potassium levels I was sent a list of foods not to eat -- ALL PROTEINS. (If she spent any time with me she would have found out I was drinking high protein shakes with high levels of potassium...) Metformin was never mentioned to me as an option in any of the visits I had with her. It was very obvious that she didn't know anything about PCOS exept to prescribe spironalactone and the Pill. Maybe she's improved, but I wasn't willing to take the risk to stay with her.
Thank you Sarar4888 for your input on this doctor. 20 or so years ago I went to an endo for my symptoms and she accused me of wanting Prozac, glanced at the hair on my stomach and when I told her some of my other symptoms, she told me to 'deal with it'. I've been 'dealing with it' ever since then and am slowly finding out that it didn't need to be this way.
So, like Joei, I'm looking for a doc in the western Washington area who knows what PCOS is and who is willing to treat me like a human. Any input would be greatly appreciated.
I see Dr. Health Miller at Northwest Women's Health (Swedish) on First Hill. He is very knowledgable and seems to be on the cutting edge of fertility issues (I've seen him on local television quite a bit). I go in once a year to get my pills and blood work. I haven't been TTC so I'm not sure about his bedside manner in that regard.
I went to Dr. Angela Thyer at Seattle Reproductive Medicine. They were formerly with University of Washington and then went out on their own. I really liked her, she was nice and open to suggestion. I think she really knows a lot about PCOS. Good luck!
