Hope someone can answer this for me...

After over a year of not feeling "right" and some othe weird symptoms, my endo thinks I have PCOS.

Which would explain a lot, except....

I noticed that most of my symptoms (major fatigue, mood swings, weight gain, hairloss, etc) started ON the pill. I was on the pill for about a year and a half when all this started. My doctor originally thought maybe the pill was causing me the problems, so I quit a year ago. Needless to say my symptoms have gotten worse since then.

But if the pill is supposed to keep your ovaries from working, then how would PCOS symptoms show up while ON the pill. Can PCOS ever be, like, stonger than the pill, and show up even while your on it?

I hope this makes sense...

I was on 5 different bc pills before finding the right one for me, I cant remember all of them, but I was on Yasmin, Evecon, Ortho Tri-cyclene, and a few others before finding the one that was right for me. While on these pills, I still would not have a period for months then bleed for weeks, had depression, etc. BC pills are horomones and it may take a while to find the combo your body needs to be in balance. It took about a year to find the right pill for me but once I did, it was pretty much smooth sailing, so don’t give up yet. Suggest to your dr that you’d like to try a different pill. Good luck.

Check out the birth control pills board. Some women have stopped bcps because they said it just masked the symptoms or made them worse.
