Default PCOS, Thyroxine & Metformin

Hi all,

I am new here. So I have had PCOS for the last few years, I am 26. I have tried many different medications to deal with my acne, hair growth, and weight gain nothing has worked. I am average weight (117 lbs, 5'3"). I recently started seeing a doctor who did all possible hormone and thyroid tests. My throid levels were fine but she still decided to put me on thyroxine and metformin along with spirulactone (anti-androgne). I was on the latter two for 1 month, but havent noticed any signifant change, and hav ebeen on throxine for 1 week. Is it strange that she put me on thyroxine even though on paper all my thyroid levels are fine? Has thyroxine helped with anybody's skin?

Would love hear some feedback!

Best

-J
