I saw it and I was coming on here to post that I saw it. I told my friends today. I had a feeling it was going to lead to something because since the first season she has struggled with her sweets.

Wow! I did not see that coming. My husband was asking me if what the doctor said seemed realistic. I wasn't sure, Brenda has a whole different set of problems than I do. What do you think?

I think she would more be charactieriszed as a 'thin pcoser' but I could be wrong. That adds a little problem b/c ow people will watch and say welllll that isn't really mee....

You have to be right, she's so tiny! It was interesting that it brought on early menopause for her, and they were going straight to ovarian drilling. I'm just so used to seeing mostly fertility side effects on here, I never knew about the early menopause. I can't imagine they'd head down the pregnancy/baby road with Brenda, can you see her trying to obsess about cases with an infant?

I think it is really extraordinary of Kyra Sedgewick to agree to let her character have PCOS! I feel really grateful to the writing staff and network too -- not every show is brave enough to take on the subject!
WOW!! I watch that show , but havent watched this weeke's yet, we tivo it and havent got around to watching it!! WOW! My Dh will be floored!! Cool! And thanks for posting it!!

I was so surprised when I saw the episode!! When they started talking about the sweets, I was think, well you don't know for sure if her type PCOS is caused by insulin resistance, so she doesn't have to give up the sweets!
I was worried that someone was going to tell me I need to give up my coke because I have PCOS even though I am not insulin resistant, but I didn't want anyone to get ideas!!

I think us as PCOSers read into it and know the descrepencies more than others.
You got to remember that this is a TV show and they will definitely get it wrong.
If you watch House or Bones on Fox there are many times that I catch them have the basis right but the other stuff wrong.

I was so surprised when the doctor diagnosed her! I think it's great that a show that is getting recognition, especially Kyra Sedgwick herself in the role, would do this. Great job TNT!!!

I was very excited to see the show. It's one of my favorites. I don't know about anyone else, but I also have fabulous mood swings and am hot all the time. The paople I work with don't even ask me if the office feels cold. They know what my answer will be.
