Default PCOS and tubal ligation

Can anyone point me to information about how getting a tubal ligation could affect PCOS? I am currently 7 months pregnant with out second "oops" baby. We were told in 2007 that I could NOT conceive on my own only to become pregnant 5 months later with my oldest son, and I became pregnant with this baby (another boy) while using condoms (my son was only 10 months at the time of conception).

While I love both of my children with all of my heart, we (my husband and I) are 100% sure we are finished having children, and I'm trying to think of the best form of birth control for our family.

I am unable to take BC pills anymore due to a family history of blood clotting issues. I have to have a repeat c-section and figured while they are in there already, why not tie my tubes? However, I have JUST recently wondered how this might affect my PCOS.

I have heard of Post-Tubal Ligation Syndrome, but this can affect ANY woman, having PCOS or not.

I was wondering if anyone can point me in the direction of a website or book (or anything really) that could help me decide if this is a terrible decision or not? I'm not exactly sure how tubal ligation affects your periods to begin with, and using search engines really haven't turned much up.

I'm just want to make sure (medically speaking) that this isn't going to be something to only make matters worse.

I had my tubes tide about 6 yrs ago never had any problems what so ever. I just got diagnosed with pcos about 6-7 months ago. So it really does not affect pcos at all. I believe I had pcos for a very long time before they diagnosed me. I have always had irregular periods. All other symptoms came out after I had my wls and have been getting worse. They did ultra sound and found ovarian cysts and actually haven't had a period in about 3-4 months now. I always had a period each month before. The only time I didn't was when I was pregnant. Took me awhile to conceive with my first and second child. Third was a surprise and had no problems there. So in all I don't think a tubal would actually cause you anymore problems that you already have with pcos.
