Hi,
I was just wondering if you could provide me with a link to the IR book so I could order it. I am reading a lot about how everyone is being successful with it. I have just been diagnosed with PCOS. I start curves today too. You have been very successful... Any info. or advice will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Tara

Hi KyBluegrass!

I just bought the IR diet book. I'm a little confused about a couple of things. For instance I have chicken salad and shrimp salad in my fridge right now. I couldnt find these listed in the book. I used low fat may with it and lots of veggies, would a half cup of either of these with 2 pieces of whole grain bread be balanced? Just trying to figure this thing out. Thanks so much.

Hi lady's,
I have not yet been diagnosed with PCOS but I seem to have all the symtoms. Unexplained weight gain, hair growing where it shouldn't, always tired, chronic pelvic pain on my left bodom (where I had an ultrasound for yesturday but no cyst or anything to my surprise), mild acne, no menstrual cycle for about 2 years (where from 1 1/2 year had IUD)e etc. The thing that has been bothering me the most is the weight. I am 21 and have gained about 20 - 25 pounds in the last 2 years wich I can not explain! I exercise, run, eat a healthy diet but nothing is helping! I was getting so frustrated untill I found out about this syndrome. I am hoping to get bloodtest done this week to see if I have it. I almost hope that I do then I can finally explain why this is happening to me. What my question really is to you lady's is, Are there any medications that will help me lose my weight again together with healthy diet and exercise? (wich I already do) I was wondering if any one else had any succes story's and what medication they have been using. Please help me, I feel so bad about myself and feel like I can't do anything about it. I have been reading the story's above and they have been helping me alot and make me feel better already! I was reading about the metformin. Is this onoly to lose weight? Is this also going to help me get my cycle back and hormones abck to normal? Please help and reply to me! Would really appreciate it!
Thanks

Hi Im doing weight watchers online, ive lost 1 stone in 4 weeks! its soo easy as you can eat what you want but in moderation. I really recommend it. I stopped having periods and was diagnosed with PCOS I was determined not to get down about it. I decided the best thing I can do to help myself is to lose weight and thats what I am doing. Ive got another 6 stone to lose but my periods have already started again! yipeee! (I never thought id be so happy to see it!). its not the cheapest of options and I only recommend the online version if you can log on everyday to complete your tracker : )

WOW!! Thank-you so MUCH taah for sharing your story. I have just signed up and even after reading other stories still felt a little overwhelmed by what I need to lose. I weigh 330lbs and need to lose 175lbs. If you have been able to do it, then it goves me the courage and motivation to believe it is do-able, so thnak-you, thank-you, thank-you!

I have 2 questions:
1. Where are the details for an IR diet?
2. Are fruits supposed to be "full of sugar" - I am a bit of a fruitarian !

Thanks

Hi ladies, I thought I would chime in.

I started July 2005. Took a time off here and there. But maintained. I lost 27 lbs. (Ok, 37 but vacation did me in, back on track now) by a low calorie portion control diet. Also biking several times a week in front of the television. Better to exercise than just sit in a chair and be glued to the TV.

I started up Atkins today and feel pretty good. I needed to lower my carbs and atkins is a good way to get it under control.

It's nice to read all the great success stories. I never thought I would get this far. YAY!!

Good day!

I must be doing something wrong I have been on a IR diet for 7 weeks and have only lost 18.5 lbs and I exercise for 1 1/2 hours a day for six days a week. Any other advice on how to lose it faster?

Daysia you are doing everything right! A loss of over 2 lbs per week is fantastic! It is considered average to lose 1-2 lbs per week so you are above average! The good thing about losing it at that rate is it is much easier to maintain as you are switching to a healthy lifestyle rather than a crash diet. Keep it up!

ok ladies, i am in radio here in houston and i just met sarah ferguson (fergie). i am so inspired to do weight watchers - - i so need help. weight watchers and pcos? will it work? i exercise beyond belief, i have done four marathons. i am five one, 170 and stuck here. am finished having kids - was diagnosed w/pcos after we decided to quit. i think my pcos was brought on my constant yo-yo dieting - - would not eat for weeks, losing tons of weight then putting it right back on. i run for goodness sakes - i just do not like looking this bulky. i am miserable! help me! i have the points books that i got via ebay since funds are so tight.
