I started in April by watching what I eat and exercise. I have now lost 60lbs! This has helped my pcos. I ovulate on my own now and my period are regular. It is amazing what weight loss is doing to my body!

My Mood: Points: 1,139.61 Bank: 0.00 Total Points: 1,139.61 | About 5 years ago, I could barely walk. I had plantar fascitis and it was so painful that I was just about immobile. I started reading about the problem, and it seemed that I had two options: buy some really expensive equipment to "fix" the problem (at the time we were broke) or start to diet and exercise. I went with the diet and exercise. I eventually lost 73 lbs over the course of 10 months. The whole time, I exercised a little and mostly counted calories and watched my fat intake. I swapped refined flour and white rice for whole grains and I ate more vegetables and soy.

Did losing weight help with the plantar fasciitis? I have plantar fasciitis, too, and I am currently at 209 lbs. About a year ago I was 165 lbs (overweight to start with) but I was put on antidepressants (I was really depressed) and the first kind of antidepressants made me gain.

My Mood: Points: 726.07 Bank: 0.00 Total Points: 726.07 | Ir Diet Question I just bought the IR Diet Book. I was quite amazed on how simple this is. I don't really call it a diet at all.
I understand that we can't eat no more than 30g of carbs per meal. And ever 15g of carbs needs to balance with 7g protein. Now I got that. But what, I'm confused about is s the carbs found in protein. Do we count that as part of our 30g of carb? Example: Beans. Beans are good for protein, but I found that carbs are in it as well.
Also, I had bought some tuna kits by Starkist. They're mixed with protein and carbs. Do I count the carbs as part of the 30g from the tuna?
And one more thing. What about Milk. I read that we don't have to balance dairy products because it's protein. But I see that they have carbs on them as well.
Any help will greatly be appreciate it. Thanks. |

My Mood: Points: 583.00 Bank: 0.00 Total Points: 583.00 | Cravings? Hey guys,
I'm new here and I'm very inspired by your weight loss stories! I have tried the IR diet, WW, and Slim Fast in the past. I am now the heaviest I've ever been. I'm 5'2" and about 185. I was Dx with PCOS in October 2003. I was able to conceive DS on Met. We're currently ttc #2 and I'd love to lose some weight. My problem right now is dealing with the cravings! I'm doing WW again, but I haven't joined. That is probably part of the problem. Also, how do you guys exercise? I am so exhausted about 95% of the time I can barely get my butt to the gym. Any tips would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I'm not really sure, because the diet I did had more to do with actual servings vs. number of carbs. Sorry I'm not much help!
