Wow Jess! You look absolutely gorgeous! Congrats! You are a very pretty girl Good luck losing more.

I have a little update, no pics but a little story. I'm 8kg away from my goal and have managed to finally squeeze into a Australian size 10 (US size 6 according to a converter) I'm so happy I've bought 3 new (secondhand ) mini skirts, I'm totally in love with them now and can't get enough of wearing them! Once I reach my goal I'll be sure to take photos of myself to post.

momjija, first of all congrats on the loss but I have never heard of the bikini diet! Perhaps since you arent losing you could try a new diet, many of the cysters on this diet forum would be happy to give advice if you start your own thread

nikkime- IR diet is the Insulin Resistance Diet There is a sticky on it under this thread I think.

Thanks Jess I love me mini's

hi kimmy

thanks for ur reply!

i was wondering what diet u r on? and since u and i have the same goal weight 60 kg, and almost the same amount to lose, could u tell me in details wat u r eating and wat kind of exercise u r doing? and dont u feel that when u have less to lose u lose much slower than someone who has loads of fat to lose?

Basically, my diet is of my own making, I use a diary program from CalorieKing.com to track my intake. There is a free online diary there too, also fitday.com is another good one. I try and eat low carb, low fat stuff, lots of veggies and fruit, grain ceral for brekkie, lean chicken breast. beef, lamb and fish and I avoid caffeine when I can. I try to stay within 1200 calories, 120 carbs and 30grams of fat. I walk 4 days a week for 30-50 minutes depending on my mood, sometimes I'll do yoga, swimming or pilates. Its taken me 6 months to lose what I have, most of it was within the first 4 months at usually 2lbs a week Its slowed up now but I'm happy I'm making a small loss each week. I think my body has become use to my routine. Also many of the cysters here have had lots of success with the following diets: South Beach Diet, IR Diet, Atkins and Weight Watchers. I hope that helps!

Hey ladies! I too have had success in losing weight. First I tried Slim in 6 (www.beachbody.com) a workout program and diet that I lost 20lbs in 8 weeks on.. I lost my drive to continue and started working out at a Curves type place. I was just doing my own diet which normally was a slim fast bar for breakfast, a lean cuisine for lunch, a couple snacks of fruit/veggies or yogart between, and whatever was for dinner. I wasn't losing, got extremely frusterated and blew up at one of the ladies at my gym when she said I was doing something wrong because I wasn't losing. She said to start journaling my food and I told her if I had to do that I might as well join Weight Watchers because that was the 1 reason I never wanted to join WW because writing down everything you ate and calculating "points" would take too much time. Well as it turns out, I wasn't eating ENOUGH and as soon as I started WW I started losing 2-3lbs per week easily. I think on the PCOS end of things, I cut out all sugar except the natural sugar in fruit and that has been my saving grace. Anyway.. I went from 203lbs to my lowest of 141lbs. I'm currently over my goal weight at 153, but I'm working on getting below 150 again (150 is my WW goal weight). Here are some pics.. come check out my website anytime..

Congrats on the weight loss! You look great! I wanted to chime in, because I'm a HUGE Bears fan and I can't wait for the Superbowl! I'm also a HUGE Cubs fan (obviously with my userID) I'm thinking I really need to just join WW, but I didn't want to pay the money! Your story is inspiring

Hey guys, I just wanted to say that I started out in July of 2006 weighing 297 lbs and was a size 24. I started seeing a Chiropractor/Applied Kynesiologyst (Sp??!). He told me to stop eating grains...So, reluctently I started trying to. I lost 10 lbs...
Then a couple months later, he told me that my body didn't like Dairy either, so to stop eating that...So, I cut that out. And lost about 10 more lbs.
Here I am now, Feb. of 2007 and am down to 269 (Size 20/22)...So, coming up on my 30 lb mark. I have been back and forth on the same 5 lbs now for a couple months it seems.
My husband and I decided to start the IR diet today (Give or take some rules...I'm not supposed to eat any grains/what). So, we will let you know how that works for us.
By now we are used to cutting out things here and there, so maybe this wont be hard.

I am so excited to be able to share these ideas with you guys. Thanks for all of the support!

Thumbs up

Hey Ladies,
I just weighed in today, and lost another lb! I am down 32 lbs since November!

I am almost at my mini goal which is 5 lbs away, and according to BMIs I read I should be between 101-145 (big range huh!?) So I'm working towards the 145. I am almost down to 199 so when I am it's just 54 lbs till that goal! Anything else after that is bonus!

I've done this by the IR diet, Metformin, eating healthier, doing healthier choices, reading labels, educating myself, LISTENING TO MY BODY (when I'm full, what I want and need, fulfilling cravings with out over doing it), and Exercising (Tae kwon do and a Saturday workout class with my guys at work).

I think I would've lost more on the scale if I had not gained muscle, but that's ok! It's sexy lol. I def lost inches, and lost 2 pants sizes!!!!!! I can tell my endurance has picked way up, and I feel better over all. I look forward to warmer weather, and doing more and more exercise.

All you ladies have done brilliantly, and inspire me to keep going. I hope you'll keep going as well!
loads of love and support,
-Falling into Infinity

Heh, I can't believe I'm about to post these photos but I think they're a good indication of how far I've come!

December 2, 2005 - My wedding. I'm not sure what I weigh here but it's well over 200lbs and my dress was a size 22.

April 2006- In PR on honeymoon. This is possibly my biggest ever. I'm kind of ashamed of just how big I was. Again, I've no idea what I weighed but I imagine something in the region of 240 + . I was wearing size 22 pants and a 3 XL tops. Ignore the sunburn!

Feb 24, 2007- Last week while visiting NYC/My Hubby. I weighed myself on Labor Day last year and I was 226 lbs. I was then diagnosed with Diabetes II and PCOS in October and have since got down to 195 with the GI diet, exercise and awareness. I'm almost half way to my goal of 150, so here's my 'during'
